Alright well first let me say this, started about January (about a year ago) and was able to do PE for about 6 months (- 2 months though as scheduling conflicts came up and was only able to get about 50% of the sessions for 2 of the months) but then I had to stop [in June] for a little over 3 months. Resumed back in September and only did half the month; starting in October I got 75% in, then this last month (November) was back to normal schedule. So since September I’ve been back to doing the “newbie routine”.
It’s looked like this:
~ Warm-Up
~ 20x 1:30 manual stretches (in 4 different directions)
~ 40 minutes of Jelqing (Flaccid)
~ Warm-Down
Anyways, this last month I posted a gain of 1/8” EL and 1/16” EG, kind of sucked to see this happen since the first month’s which I didn’t miss any days either (before Summer) I kept consistently putting up about +.25” gains in each EL and EG. I’ve come to consider these the “newbie gains”, though I kind of wonder how long they would’ve kept on if I wouldn’t of had to stop.
THE POINT OF THIS POST NOW :p
So November was the first month since before the Summer where I was able to get in every day. Like I said I posted a gain of 1/8” EL and 1/16” EG so I was kind of like “damn” when I saw it, but hey its better than no gains at all. I’m thinking that the gains could’ve been better, but I’m not sure, and that is part of the point of this thread/post. Now my focus is strictly length (EL) at this point in time so I’ve started doing the following routine and am wondering your opinions on it:
~ Warm-Up
~ DLD Blasters
~ 15 minutes of Manual Stretches, all in “downward” directions (equal to 10x 1:30 stretches)
~ 40 minutes of Jelqing (Flaccid)
~ Warm-Down
There’s one more thing… since starting I’ve always had some long ass routines time-wise (compared to most others’ I’ve seen on here). This isn’t exactly planned out this way, it’s just the way it ends up being (I’ll mark the start time and end time just to see). Before Summer all my PE days were taking 2-4 hours on average. When I resumed after Summer is when I set the time limits (ie: 40 minutes jelqing). I set the time limits because I knew my PE sessions were taking WAY too long, the jelqing alone (I had reached the 600 rep. max mentioned in the “newbie routine”) was taking 1:30-2:00 hours. The stretching, another 40 minutes on average, though both the Jelqing and Stretching varied (when it did vary it would more than often be longer than the amounts of time I just mentioned). Now I wouldn’t just be sitting here doing the sessions half-assing it or none of that, I’d often be doing nothing else BUT the PE (purposely) and it’d still take just as long, so that wasn’t the reason for the pretty damn long sessions.
Now with all this said, what do you think? Thanks for taking your time to read this thread/post, seriously, any answers would be greatly appreciated!
