Now there is a first. 20lbs! Most people can’t get that much compression from the clamps to hold that much. You must have the system down. Good work.

Just out of curiosity what do you use for a wrap?

FYI: the Grippers where intended to put most of the pressure on the sides leaving a gap on the top to avoid pressure on the nerve bundle which runs mostly on the top of the shaft. Bib’s design does the same thing.

When I built my hanger based on the wench, I made it without the gripper pads. I did this because they didn’t happen to be there when I went to the Walmart to get the materials.

Anyhow, when I use the thing, I make certain to put a lot of attention into the wrapping.
One layer of comfort wrap with quilted toilet paper and 2 layers of self gripping athletic tape.
When I put on the wench, I use 2 clamps to hold it on.

I do 75% of my hanging BTC and I use 12.5 lbs for that but when I hang SD I hang with 20 lbs and have not experienced any troubles. I do 20 minute sets.

I am definitely a Wench supporter … I particularly like it because it is very easy to travel with and if the parts are found by some snooping family member, it is completely unclear as to what the function is.

I use a wench in conjunction with a pulley attached under my desk so that I may hang straight out.

I told my current lover that I use it to do bicep curls, etc, while reading e-mails. She bought it completely, lol.

Does anyone know where could I buy velcro and nylon online? I tried searching on eBay but without much luck. I already have grippers and clamps and I’m interested in hanging, but I’m missing those 2 parts.

This looks so easy to make I’ve just ordered the parts and can’t wait to give it a try

I just received my supplies, except the velcro, and I have a question about the “grippers”. I made sure to get the Waxman 1”x4” as described in the PE Manual, but they aren’t quite what I was expecting. I was expecting something really tacky but when I opened the package they’re glossy. Did Waxman change the material or have they always been like this? I also got some coban tape to wrap with and it seems to hold okay when I press it on the grippers, but I’m still waiting on the velcro before I can make it and try it out.

What an original and intelligent design. By now I am sure tried and true as well.

What your wanting to get in the Waxman line is part number 0054359

That is the stiffer of the two types out there. The softer version will not grip as nicely as the stiffer one will.

I can’t seem to get this to work without cutting off blood flow. I think it may be due to the weight I have not being balanced and the wench twisting. Anyone else having blood flow (I.e. Cold and blue) problems? I think I read at one point about cutting grooves into the pads. Not sure if that will work.
