Vasectomy on Friday!!

I’m kind of feeling strange that I am going through with it. It’s mostly a logical decision. But I’m apprehensive nonetheless.

Also, I’m wondering how long I have to stay off the PM.

Why not?

Yes, and as far as I know, I don’t want to go through parenting babies again. I love my children and have done my time raising them up. I’m so ready to move on to parenting school age kids and not back tracking. I suppose if something terrible happened and I had to remarry, my potential mate would have to contend with that.

I just hate condoms.. the kill sensitivity, they choke me and kills sponteneity.

But all the same… this is a big step for me.

Just a warning though I’m divorced and dating a younger women with out kids while I don’t know whats going to happen with this chick at least I know all my options are still open.

You are doing this for exactly the same reasons I did: I love my kids, but I can’t deal with babies. Less children means a significantly higher quality of life for the ones you have (as well as for you and Mrs. Rambone) and you can be a more attentive father to your kids as they grow into adolescence. Try doing that after cleaning baby spit-up at three o’clock in the morning - and then again at five.

Condoms suck. I will never have to use another ever again and this alone makes it worth the day or two of discomfort.

I had my vas 6 years ago and don’t regret it for a single moment. It is everything I ever wished for in the spontaneity department, and then some.

Don’t worry over it - you won’t regret it. I personally have never met anyone who does.

I have thought about that. All I can say is that I’m not counting on life without Mrs. Rambone. Even if something were to happen, my baby raising days are over. One can always adopt, right?

I guess if a woman won’t marry me (as a widower) because I can’t father her children, then that’s the price I’ll have to pay for it. I’d be sure to be upfront about it before we’d ever become close.

How long should I lay off the Penimaster and L-Arginine?

I’ve thought of getting a vasectomy. But I have a fear that knowing I couldn’t get a woman pregnant might lead to performance issues.

Has anyone else here had that problem or concern?

Ram, I had it done about 10 years ago. I had mental issues with it at first also, but it’s a simple procedure for men, and major surgery for women to get “fixed”. 2 days with an ice pack and your as good as new.

A friend of mine did not want to get it done, so his wife had some new “procedure” done, on her self. The new procedure didn’t work and she got sick from it. 2 surgeries and almost 2 years later, her body was almost back to normal.

Had it done 8 years ago, was cake. Just make sure you rest off your feet for the rest of that day, and take it easy with stuff for the rest of the week.

I made the mistake of going to aikido class after a week (felt fine). I didnt last 5 mins on the mat :)

Personally, I layed of even looking at my package for a whole week (7 days). Heed the docs advise and don’t do anything to stress your nuts fot at least that amount of time.

What DarkTrick said: Do nothing the first day and go easy with the physical activity for the rest of the week.

I sat in front of CNN with an ice pack on my boys for about eight hours the day I had mine done. But the procedure itself was cake - no stitches and I even drove myself home.

I had the exact opposite reaction once I knew my baby batter was sans baby. I started banging like an oyster eating chimpanzee. It definitely improved my sex life; just the knowledge that at any time I can bend the wife over and get warm for a few minutes turned me into a predator with a penis.

When I had it done, I probably could have done some PE safely after a day or two. I took a week break anyway. I also took about a month break beforehand since I didn’t want any bruising or spots visible.

For me it was kind of like a dentist visit. No real pain, just some momentary discomfort while the doc numbs up your vas tube. He inserts a needle carefully and you can actually feel the drug course through the vas until you go numb. Once that is complete you can feel him pull it out of you to clamp and cut. That was the strange feeling part for me. I completely soaked the sheet under me with sweat but got through it ok. I would advise taking a good two weeks off because you will be sore.

Once this time passes you want to make sure and “manually” clear yourself out before resuming your sexual activity. I got myself off about 20 times(this was what was listed on the sheet the doc gave me) to clear any remaining sperm out of the love juice then sent a sample to the clinic lab for testing. I came back 100% clear with no visual loss of semen. It is nice to be able to hit it without worrying about pregnancy and I feel like my performance is up just knowing that.
