One of the Ents in LOTR was named Quickbeam. I just took that and put my birthday at the end.

Privacy is important to me. I often feel like Truman Burbank from The Truman Show. My screen name is my real name. Not only is nothing secret on the internet, what we choose for logins and passwords reveals something about our thought process. Just one more insight into who we are, and how we think. So I use my real name and the same password everywhere online. There are several exceptions I’ve found so far: on twitter, someone else is already using this screen name. He’s located in Birmingham, Alabama, and I know that there really is another Michael Horsley in Alabama, affiliated with the Alabama Hospital Association. I hope that’s him, and not someone posing as me, which is where e-mail and I.P. addresses are helpful. They allow me to prove that his posts are not being made by me. As disclaimers often say, “the views and opinions expressed are not necessarily mine.” Also, on facebook and myspace, there are michaelhorsleys that aren’t me.

I agree with you to a certain point. In my opinion giving your real name is past that point. But hey, you gotta do what you feel you gotta do. Take care. ;)

Sylar is the main villain in my favorite TV show Heroes, i spelt the name as Syler because it reads and looks better to me
