I was just wondering what everyone’s username meant/stood for and why you chose it. I personally am very skeptical about just about everything and that leads to my name. I was skeptical about PE before I started seeing some results. My name is kind of a joke because I’m a believer.

“Guiri” more or less means “foreigner” in Spanish, the same way as maybe Wetback, Spic, Pommie, Aussie, Yanks refer to other nationalities be it kindly or in a derogative manner. The most similar I know of is “Pakeha” which comes from Maori (New Zealand) and most people use to call ‘white people’ and really means ‘non-Maori’. My mates started calling me this in a friendly manner, and it just stuck as my nickname.

Mine was supposed to be after the fictious porn star/”cable guy” in one of my favorite movies, The Big Lebowski, a movie I’d seen a number of times and my friends and I always made inside jokes about “Kurt Hungus”, so I used that name when I signed up here just as a tongue-in-cheek joke. Come to find out a few months ago, I was watching the movie again for the first time in awhile and… his name is Karl Hungus. Doh! It’s like one of your favorite songs you think you know the lyrics to and suddenly one day you find out you were wrong the entire time. “Excuse me while I kiss this guy…” heh.

But Thunder slapped me upside the head until I saw just how right he was when he said that it’s what people know me by. And I also didnt want to argue anymore because of severe blood loss.

I had Tom Sizemore, the actor in mind. A very appropriate name for a PE-board I thought. Too bad I misspelled his name…I was positive he spelled it with two O:s, but he didn´t.
