What girth size is average?

I had to measure for a pump and am 6.3 inch at base.

Where does that one fit. Average, or above.

Above, way above. Average is around 4.75-5”

I am talking about MEASURED AT BASE (from the pubic bone around the erection) with a string.

Yes I’m fully aware of what you said. The average I gave is measured at the widest point.

I’ve never been above average at anything as far as I can remember but at just over 6” girth I am pleased with myself - but not complacent!

I’m about 5-7/8 girth before PE.I always assumed it was small.I’m pleased as well to be above average at something,but none the less my PE continues.

So your saying is when I read other peoples stats and when they put there girth size they are measuring the thickest part and that is the number they come up with. So if my base is the thickest part of my penis then that is the number I should be putting down, not the mid shaft size?

Here on Thunders measuring mid shaft is the standard. I’m close to 6.5” at the base, but I report my mid shaft which is 6”.

I always figured that mid-shaft girth is more “important” anyway, because that’s whats really going into the girl. She won’t feel your base girth unless you’re giving her a serious deep thrusting or something :D

Midshaft, base, etc. is purely arbitrary. Its simply been the standard adopted here at Thunder’s. Every penis size study I’ve read which mentioned any technique of girth measurement, stated “the thickest part.”

Think about it - not everybody is bigger at the base. I certainly am, but some guys are more uniform, and others are in fact much thinner at the base (I’ve seen pics of dicks that looked like inverted tear drops - flaring out more towards the head). So, the “thickest part” is actually the most accurate.

Of the medical studies I’ve seen, only two reported erect girth. One was midshaft, the other base.

I think most of the self-report studies I’ve seen have specified the “thickest part,” as Wad suggested.

My impression from the scant girth data I’ve seen is that the average midshaft is somewhere around 4.75”. The average “thickest part” may be closer to 5”.
