What lubrication caused your discolouration?

Hey guys,

I want do a simple survey to perhaps find out something in regards to whether certain lubrications tend to cause discoloration.

So I hope all those who have had discolouration, please post the lubrication you used (type, brand, etc) at the time you first experienced/noticed discolouration.

I don’t know if this has been done before, and whether it will come out with any worthwhile information, but I want to give it a try.

For me, it was Baby Oil.

I really don’t think lube causes discoloration, unless you get an allergic reaction or something.

Discoloration is more the result of broken capillaries or lack of oxygenated blood flow.

I would tend to agree with gprent. If the lubrications themselves caused discoloration, then the products wouldn’t be marketable. People would have discolored hands from using vaseline.

Maybe a better survery would be which lubrication used in conjunction with PE exercises might increase or lessen the chance of discoloration. That’s probably more along the lines of what you are looking for anyway, just worded a little differently.

However, I still doubt that the type of lubrication you use has anything to do with discoloration. I think the amount you use might though.

Perhaps I didn’t explain myself properly. Of course the lubes don’t cause discolouration. What I meant was different lubes allow for a different amount of friction when jelqing. One can definitely tell the difference when using say just oil, compared to using something like KY Jelly or something.

Does that make sense?

Yea, I figured that is more along the lines of what you were looking for.

Anyway, I’ve always used vaseline.
