Just make sure to start slow, but be consistent. I believe in the avoid rest days philisophy for hanging, keep creating the micro tears, and reach fatigue. Start with low weight, 2.5 to 5lbs, only increase 1-2lbs per week to start. If you start low like I did (2.5lbs), its better to increase only 1lb at a time. Once I pass 10lbs, I’ll consider increasing 1.5lbs or even 2 lbs per week, I’ll just go by feel.
I was able to make a good 1/2 lb and 1lb weight with fishing weights, duct tape, and some hanger wire. The other weights I just purchased at wal mart.
Anyway, back to your question—
—Skin Stretch—
The first few weeks you’re going to be mostly just stretching your skin, with less force on the internal structures of your penis. The reason for this, is simply, that your skin is going to be your limiting factor starting out (most likely, perhaps slightly less likely if you’re uncut—I’m not sure on the uncut side of this subject).
Once you’ve stretched your skin a bit, you’re going to be exerting more force on whatever the next limiting factor in your penis is, ligs, tunica, whatever…
As you make gains those limiting factors will change.

Back to my point—who knows what you’ll gain your first month. Personally, I’ve noticed huge improvements in my flaccid length since I started hanging. It’s only been 5 weeks, and the erect gains have been much slower for me.
I think I only gained about 1/8” erect my first month/ vs 1/2” or more flaccid gains.
But I’ve been conservative, making sure I’m not injured, stretching my skin, (I can now hang true BTC, which is intense for me, without needing much weight). I also started with extremely low weight.. 2.5lbs & I went up about .625lbs per week on average. I just barely started going 6lbs this week, and I’ll definitely go to 7lbs next week, or in a few days (just 5.5 weeks of hanging so far)
I do hear that generally, your flaccid stretch length doesn’t get more than about 1.5” beyond your erect length. I guess the good news there is that even if your erect length doesn’t grow right away, you can be confident that increases in your flaccid stretch length will eventually lead to an improvement in your erect length.
