Did you start hanging because manual exercises stopped working for you?

Since hanging is considered by most to be a more advanced technique, and something you don’t start off with, what is the reason you started hanging? Was it because manual techniques just were not doing the job any more? And if this is the case, what kind of results have you achieved thru hanging that you don’t think you could have achieved through doing manual exercises?

For me, I gained a half inch in length rather quickly doing the newbie…3 months. However, my gains then stopped. I have been very consistent and dedicated. I have tried different routines, changing it up, less is more, more is more, decon breaks, etc… So now I am turning to hanging. I have been stalled now for about 8 months and I am hoping that hanging can and will break this plateau.

Please tell us your story…

I started hanging cause I had to pull way to damned hard manually to feel any stretch. I think a constant load over a longer period of time is more effective, and safer! I sometimes pulled so hard I felt like it would come off in my hand. Now with hanging I have more control, and can always hit fatigue every session.

It may just be what you need to jump-start things again.

I'm consistent in spurts, but gains are undeniable!

2007: BPEL 5.5" / MSEG 4.7" / BG 5.5"

2017: BPEL 6.8" / MSEG 5.3" / BG 6"

I started both because 10 years ago there was not enough information about PE. On one site I discovered the story of ancient people hanging weights and on another site found the stertching and “milking” technique. In an effort to create a massive phallus, I incorporated both in my daily life.

Present: 8.75" BPEL, 9.25" BPSFL, 5.3" EG

Goal: 1' BPEL, 6.5" EG

Who ever turned this into a poll…thanks! Great idea! Its been informative so far. I would like to encourage more of you who have participated to post your success stories, or lack of, here as well. Thanks and happy PEing!

I would definately consider hanging.

Currently 6.5 NBP 5.5EG.

I started hanging because I was positive it would give me gains. After hanging for three months I’ve gained 0.5”.

Start: NBPEL 6.75'' EG 5''

Current: BPEL 8'' EG 5.25''

Goal: NBPEL 9'' EG 6.50'' within 18 months.

Thanks for your reply and posting your success with hanging Grief. It is much appreciated. Were your gains stalled with manuel exercises when you started hanging?

Please more people post as well!

I don’t think hanging is considered an advanced technique. A lot of PEer started their routine with only hanging, and they had some good gain.

I started PE by combining manual exercises with hanging weights, which I think can give a very good results.

We have 26 people who participated in this pole. However, only a few posts. Again I would like to encourage those who participate in the pole to also post your success, your lack of success, your trials and errors, and just a little history. History like…did you start hanging because manual exercises stopped being effective for you, and how long you have been hanging?

Thank you!!!

Sorry if I am a little ignorant, but by manual stretching do you mean what is prescribed in the newbie routine?

I would say manuel exercises in general. Like that of the newbie, and more advanced routines as well.

Hanging replaced manual for me after I got past my newbie pop. Been doing it since with great results, but I would advise against hanging right from the start. Even if you don’t hurt yourself, you’re conditioning too fast when you don’t need to get gains.

Manual never worked for me. It’s too early to tell if hanging will do the job. Lets hope!

Starting again, this time it's serious.

Start: (10.2012) BPFSL: 7.5" BPEL: 7" Base EG: 5.75" Mid/upper shaft EG: 5.25" Head EG: 5"

Now: (3.2013) BPFSL: 7.8" BPEL: 7.4" Base EG: 5.75" Mid/upper shaft EG: 5.25" Head EG: 5.25"

I am nowhere near the end of my newbie routine. I am, however, planning to hang after my newbie gains stop.

10/2008 BPEL= 6.5" NBPEL= 6" EG= 5"

6 month goal: NBPEL= 6.75" EG= 5.25"

Main Goal: NBPEL= 8" EG= 6"

I started hanging because I wanted to free up my hands to do other things. I also like knowing just how much tension I am placing on my unit, and of course, because gains from manual pulling petered out.

Then (4.5 nbpel x 4.75 mseg)

Now (5.625 nbpel, x 5.25 mseg)
