The one thing I did find was that the tighter I screwed the bib down, the more I got bruised
This is a problem I too encountered with the Bib. It is a “hard” hanger and I like to hang with as little wrap as possible. The tighter I would make it the more I bruised. This bruising increased proportionally to the weight I would use - more weight/tighter hanger = more bruising. This was a bummer because I like the Bib Starter - it is a fantastic device.
Like I said before: The only effective way around this was to use less weight and more sets. I could ease the bruising a bit by adding layers of wrap, but this brought with it other complications, such as internal twisting and head bloating/strangulation - it really became quite a balancing act.
In the end, the Wench worked better for me. Minimal amount of wrap and I never bruised with the Wench.
