Your decision of further hanging may revolve around whether you want “extra” foreskin
As stated already, hanging is going to give you some extra skin. I’m not sure if you can completely avoid that. In and of itself, I don’t see it as a reason to be alarmed—it’s something you should expect.
—Make sure your Hanger Placement is Correct—
Make sure you’re hanging at least 1 & 1/4” behind the glans. You don’t want the device attaching ahead of this point (or you’re putting yourself at risk of injury). This point is generally right where the circumcision scar ends (i.e. right below or on the edge of the circumcision scar).
If that’s where you’re connecting already, you’re doing it right.
Now, if you want, you can put the hanging device closer to the base of your penis and this emphasize a skin stretch. This kind of thing can be good if you don’t have enough skin to work with and it’s interfering with getting a good level of fatigue internally.
If you’re trying to hang BTC, you’re going to have to stretch your skin—and unless you naturally hang straight down already, the skin on top of your penis will need to be deformed/ stretched. This can take a little while. I think it’s going to take me at least 2 weeks of hanging before I’m comfortable at all in a true BTC position (it’s getting close to 2 weeks & I’m barely getting to this position).
—First 2 Weeks Is Normally a Skin Stretch Period—
I would say, in hanging expect the first two weeks to primarily involve skin stretching more than lig & tunica work. There’s an exception—if you’re not circumcised, it’s completely different (and in that case I don’t know what they expect, perhaps they don’t need any skin strech at all).
Once your skin is stretched a bit, you’ll be able to hit your internal tissues much more effectively. Some hangers find they need to drop their previous weight to a lower level once the skin is stretched enough.
This is why (as already stated by Petitfuan) you can’t avoid stretching the skin to some extent with hanging.
—Too Much Skin Stretch?—
If you’re stretching your skin more than you feel is necessary, you may need to check where you’re attaching your device.
—A Different Sensation—
At least for me, hanging is starting to feel much different. The initial skin stretch will give you a burning type sensation. Once your skin is stretched enough—hanging hits the internal ligs/ tissues/ tunica much more effectively—and from the experience I’m having now, I have to say it feels much different.
I hope my 2 cents helps.
