Finally ready to start hanging.

Ok fellas I have a question for you vets and successors. I have been doing pe for about 4 years now, mostly on and off b/c of discouragement, but I have been very steady for the last year. I have tried multiple jelqing routines, ads, and pumps with no success of growth in length of girth. I made a thread a couple of months ago and someone(believe it was Mem) suggested that I tried hanging. I don’t know why, but hanging always scared me. Well I am no longer concerned with the fear of it. Now I have read the hanging 101 about routines, times, and different types of hangers. My question to you guys is what would you suggest as a reliable hanger device that possibly might give me some success. Is a hanger something I should purchase already assembled or make my own. Also I didnt see this anywhere, for the guys that hang do you do any jelqing routines along with the hanging routine or only hanging. Thats all all information and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks guys.

I made a homeade bib and still use it.

You can always upgrade to a true Bib if it works for you and you enjoy it.

In reality, the “hanger” is the weight, which can be anything. In assessing an weight attachment device you should consider comfort and ability to adjust. I further feel that the most practical is one that is cheap or free, inconspicuous when not in use, and radio-transparent if traveling.

Well, if you’re afraid of hanging, which is not a bad place to come from in my opinion, why not invest in a Bib?

I’ve had a Bib starter for years. Great product. I don’t have experience with any other hangers though, but I seriously doubt I could make anything better myself.

While it feels kind of ridiculous to hang weights of your dick when you think of it for a moment, it does feel safer to me than manual stretches. Of course, that’s assuming you know what you’re doing.

The bib hanger does seem really nice to be honest. I like the fat cushions which I would imagine make it pretty comfortable. Im a pretty hands on kind of guy so I’m sure I could make my own but I was just curious if you guys had success with one over another. Not with gains b/c its all the same at the end of the day but comfortable fits, easy hook up and off, durability.

No I havent looked at any of your products but I am going to search for it as we speak.

There’s a recipe for what’s called the Captain’s Wench here. I think it works great up until a certain amount of weight. If I’m not wrong, there was a guy who had both and he said the Bib is superior.

There’s also a hanger called the AFB hanger, I think. I wonder if that was Piet’s design. Search it up and you’ll find it. You should be able to make both that one and the wench on your own.

Wow its held up for years? That’s promising, how was your success with hanging and do you only hand or add jelqs in along with it?

Thanks for the input. Judging from the positive feedback on the Bib I might just start with that one first. I don’t mind purchasing it as long as its not just a piece of junk that’s put together like some ads/hangers are. Im pretty excited to use this thing actually. I hope it works, nothing else has.

I think what you mean is it *seems* ridiculous. It feels great! Wish I had more private time to do it now.

Having constant controlled pressure is certainly safer than manual stretches. For many guys, though, manual stretching is more practical, which is why I provide instructions for doing it safely, which mitigates the dangers inherent in the conventional jelqing instructions.

For the unknowing: “Know what you’re doing” simply means following simple instructions, which you can find on my site.

I invented the AFB. Piet did some slick illustrations and adaptations of it.

I have not used it for years of course, but it’s held up great. It has a reputation of being very solid. I’ve almost logged 100 hours now on my last attempt at hanging. Over the years it must have been a lot more.

Regarding gains, I don’t have exact measurements, but hanging is the only method I ever had good gains from. Of course, it should be mentioned that hanging is the only method I utilized very consistently. During the years I spent a lot of time dicking around with routine that probably kept me just below the gain threshold and just maintained what I have.

I always had trouble getting a good grip with stretching and never felt I got them to work really great. I also seemed to not be able to maintain consistency with such a routine over time. Manual stretching is much more efficient if you’re able to do it, so I don’t generally recommend hanging unless you stopped gaining from stretches.

If you have the time to put in at least 3 sets per day, can wear an ADS and possibly do some manual stretches as well, I think you’ll do great.

Ideally I would have finished every hanging session with a good jelqing session, but I rarely find the time to do so these days. I hope to do so when I finish my exams.

Be warned though. There is a learning curve. Many have given up, but with all the resources available it should not be a problem.

Wow man this hanging thing might be better then what I’ve always thought it would be. Maybe you are like me, you can only gain from a certain type of exercise, b/c everything jelqing, pumping, and stretching routine i have followed to the tee hasnt worked at all.

I can devote three sets of hanging for sure. I do work a lot but I am willing to make time for anything that will help me gain. I’ve been doing pe for years so that definitely proves I have the dedication to get something out of it.

I really appreciate your input and suggestions regarding my curiosity about hanging, it definitely helped.
