have no idea what the writer meant. PE is all about controlled damage. Controlled damage means tissue deformation. Tissue deformation is going to entail inflammation and swelling.
Does the writer just want to coax gains? What does he think the mechanism for gains is? Just a bit of weight here and there, and gains will come?
Well, you hung at lower weights for a good while, and gained nothing. So what would his answer be?
One more time. The key to gains is stretching and deforming tough collagenous tissues, either the ligs, if potential for gains is there, or the tunica (any time). The way to do this is to reach fatigue, and ride that fatigue, for at least ten hours per week. The amount of stress, weight required to reach fatigue is different for every guy, and different at each point in each guy’s hanging career.
But what do I know. I have only been doing this for over ten years.
