Help needed! - discoloration

Here’s my problem. I am uncut and I’ve been hanging with a bib for 3 months already. My wrapping technique is standard as it’s shown in the video - cotton strip and then grey theraband.

When I wrap, I don’t retract my foreskin, so with a hanger attached, it covers my glans.

At 10lb + I started getting severe discoloration on my foreskin - my dick is half blue and half normal these days.

What do I need to do to avoid this discoloration and be able to hang more weight comfortably?

I love hanging but I am kind of desperate now because I am a hard gainer and I don’t think it’s worth it to have a rainbow coloured sausage between my legs for just extra 1/2 cm.

p.s. I won’t hang for few days, to let the bruising subside, by that time I hope I will be able to solve this problem.

I am also uncut and I never retract the foreskin either and although I had some discoloration, it has never been major.
Do you screw the Bib hanger down really tight?
This is the only time I got any discoloration.
I avoid having to do this by hanging with a small amount of blood into front of the hanger, in the cc’s (none in the glans). I believe Hobby hangs the same way.
I also got rid of any discoloration my massaging the skin between my thumb and fore finger in the shower.
You may also want to try Arnica gel, I think Bib (and Dino?) used it to great effect.

I did try the search, but there is only little info on foreskin discoloration for uncut guys. Mostly the info is on how to get rid of discoloration. I am trying not to get my foreskin discoloured in the first place. In fact, my problem is more about foreskin bruising than actual discoloration.

I am applying anti-bruise cream now to get rid of bruising on my foreskin; meanwhile I am in search of a good hanging/wrapping technique to help me avoid bruising in the first place. I think Andrew’s advice on tightening makes a lot of sense.

Yes, I agree with Andy, one can overtighten the Bib and cut off circulation. Also, your wrapping may be too tight and cutting off circulation. The rule: Wrap loose/Bib tight.

The solution is to make a wench at least for me it was once you start to bruise and it took me almost 1.5 years of hanging before I started it always comes back with the bib. The bib squeezes in such a way and it’s just the way it’s designed believe me I tried different wraps and adjustments. I took three months off and lost most bruising and made a wench and had no problems than I started to work the bib in and the bruising came back almost right away. As long as your not bruising the bib is a great hanger but once you start it’s for good as long as you keep using the bib.

Sparky, re-adjust your Bib. It can only be wrapping tightness, Bib tightness, Bib adjustments, or a little of all three.

BTC shouldn’t be giving you this bad of a problem.

It’s common to run into these sorts of problems when we move up in weight or change position. When it happens to me, I go back and review the basics of wrapping and adjustements. I make sure I’m not becoming complacent with my wrap.

Here’s a checklist:
Am I wrapping correctly?
Is the hanger’s toe correct?
Am I placing the hanger on the area of the shaft?
Am I leaving too much blood in the upper shaft as I tighten the hanger?
Is the tight enough/too tight?

Thanks guys for replies. I started using Arnica cream, it really works well for bruising.

I think I will stick with Bib hanger for now; I will try to adjust the wrapping and the hanger.

This may be related, or not. When I first got my Bib hangers, the gel was thick and squishy. After a few hundred sets, the gel thinned and flattened, leaving almost no cushion.

Bigger always said the gel lining was not important, he only put it in their because the guys were apprehensive of the hard plastic. Personally, I like the thick gel. When my Bibs were new, they were more comfortable and required less tightening — that’s what I think, anyway.

I had my Starter re-gelled when I bought a Regular. When I got my Starter back, I used it again and it felt great. Now, the gel is worn out again and I find myself cranking the wing nut down a lot.

As a result, the comfort level, during sets and post-session, is down. I haven’t suffered any discoloration, but I do get minor fluid build-up (like a donut) just above the circumsision scar.

I believe, and I may not be correct, that the thick gel is better for circulation — If for any other reason than we don’t have to tighten the hanger down and compress the shaft so much and negate the moulded channels in the hanger.

Does any of this make sense?

You could be on to something my first Bib had no Jelq when I stopped using it I kind of liked it that way though. I don’t think I got bruising until my new one but I could be wrong and the gel could be a factor.

Very interesting Ram, I too have both and the starter is older than the regular bib. I just thought the starter needed to be tighter because is has less contact surface. You may be on to something here.
