Help with hanging

Help with hanging

So I jelqed for about a year, but didn’t get much length gain, and minor girth gains.

I got a Bib hanger and started hanging this week, and was hoping I could get some help.

No matter how I wrap with theraband or how I mess with the tightness of the hanger, My penis always seems to go cold. I’m afraid of losing sensitivity, but I can’t seem to figure out what I”m doing wrong. Is it normal for it to go cold to some extent?

Also when should I start noticing positive PI’s. I’m only a couple days into it, but I haven’t noticed very good flacid gains. I noticed more while I was jelqing. Is there a delay before positive PI’s start occuring?

Appreciate any help that you can pass on

Your penis will get cold with hanging, which is one reason it’s important to stick to a 20 minute limit. Have you checked out the Hanging Video? It’s fairly informative in regard to wraps. You should potentially keep up mild jelqing between sets and a full jelqing session after your last set. A lot of hangers do this but don’t really talk about it. It’s an easy way to ensure that the blood is flowing.

Check out my most recent posts in my routine thread.

I wrap with a layer of cotton flannel, followed with a stretchy material like they use to tighten your arm when hour blood pressure is taken. This is topped with a length of Ace bandage. I d o not experience slippage using this. I also do not experience a cold glans. It does get somewhat cooler, and a bit of discoloration, but returns to normal temperature and color when jelqing following the hang session.

Good luck

Great, thanks guys. How long did it take you to start noticing some positive PIs?

This is something that I think most of the hanging guides fail to mention and perhaps does scare off beginning hangers. I was in the same boat when I started a few weeks ago. Slight coolness and discoloration does occur and is normal.

After I improved my wrapping and securing the hanger, it took about a week to really notice better EQ and vascularity.

Started (6-10-12) BPEL: 7.000", NBPEL: 6.0" EG: not certain

Current (10-20-13) BPEL: 7.75", NBPEL: 6.375", EG: 4.875"

Goal: NBPEL: 7.5", EG: 5.5"

I started on a different site. One which I paid for. After a month there, and asking several questions which went unanswered or even acknowledgement of the posting I began to search for another site. I had been doing PE exercises there. When I signed on here I noticed that the exercises I was doing there were quite similar to the newbie routine here. Based on that information I continued with it.

I began various procedures including jelqs, Kegels, and manual stretches in all possible directions. I did some hanging briefly back in the summer.

As you will notice in my signature I have experienced some increase in measurements.

After reading the posts in Monty’s thread on weights and Bib’s thread on LOT as well as hanging, I decided to start hanging again. I am using a handiclamp similar to an Irwin brand clamp. I am experiencing a noticeable change in the firmness of my flaccid hang.

I am also experiencing better EQ as well as morning wood.

I was not aware that increased EQ was a normal effect with hanging? If anything, I thought it could get worse?

Anyway, don’t worry about the cold head. What I do is keep one hand checking my head pretty much all the time during a set. I don’t care about it being cool, but if I notice other sensations or even numbness, I usually detach immediately.

I think the coolness will get better. If you’re extremely cool though and it does not improve, you may be doing something wrong.

Intense stretching/hanging routines can give a boost to EQ for the first days, than EQ tends to get worse, expecially if there isn’t a minimum of girth work.

As Renholder wrote, a slightly cold head is normal with clamping-style hangers, but if it gets really cold or dark stop the set; numbness is even a worse sign, nerve damage could be happening. Not trying to scare you, but better doing shorter sets and longer time learning how to use the hanger than getting an injury.

I noted in my progress today that I am experiencing slight cooling of the glans, and the development of a purplish coloring. I only hang for 15 minutes. When the time is up I immediately remove the wrap and perform jelqs, helicopters, and hip slaps. My glans returns to normal temperature and coloring in under 30 seconds.

Should I still be concerned about these events, i.e. the cooling and the color change?
