I hung hanged for the first time today.

Yes it is.

I still haven’t got back to a hanging session. Tonight late in while my wife and dataghter are at the movies.

Didnt get to it last night, but finally got a set in thus morning after four days off.

Started with ten minutes standing with ten pounds, then seven and a half pounds seated for ten minutes.

It felt great to feel the ligs put under load againd and begin to stretch out.

Gu really didn’t mean to take so much time off, but circumstances dictated.

I wouldn’t know how I would do this if I wasn’t able to work at home and have the private time. It’s not easy with the hanging because you really need private time. How did you make most of your gains you went from 5 7/8 to 7 1/8 wow that’s really good

The majority of my gains were achieved in my first year of PE with a mechanical stretching device I made from parts that I got from home depot. I used this device 5 on 2 off for a year or so sitting in a hot bath for half an hour at a time.

This stretch was so intense that I plateaued and didn’t grow at all after that until I began to hang recently.

I really empathize with people who plateau and become so discouraged that they quit. I get discouraged also, but it’s not in my nature to quit.

I couldn’t do the hanging sets either if I didn’t work from home throughout the day, and even so my client sessions on the phone take up a large part of my free time, and also recently my step-son has been in the house throughout the day more as he is packing and preparing to move out, so I am limited in my access to privacy right now.

I got one set in this morning but it looks like my step son is going to be here in and out of the basement most of the afternoon, killing any chance I might have had for any further sessions today.

The house is empty this morning an I’m able to get back to work.

I did ten minutes standing with ten pounds and now transitioned to seven and a half pounds seated to finish.

The added force on the ligs when changing positions this morning is intense, probably due to the time off over the weekend.

Ligs are really sore as I start my first seated set this afternoon.

I will get one more set in later this afternoon and I may have to drop the weight.

Ligs feel like they have fine grit in them that I feel when I’m hanging and as the tension releases in the ligs during a session, I can feel the grit almost cutting the ligament tissue.

I’m not explaining this sensation as well as I might, but I don’t know how else to describe it.

a-unit - More proof that long periods of hanging may be beneficial?

I was struck in reading this thread that I could do my sessions in three separate sets where I could increase the weight in each set and do a half hour per session as well, killing two birds with one stone.

This excites me as I may have discovered a way to limit the ligaments hardening effect while applying load and also to do more time per day in the hanger with my limited schedule.

My second three part set this afternoon had me turtling a little.

That hasn’t happened in long time!

I had better keep an eye on my other negative physical indicators.

I love this three part approach. Less stress on the shaft, breaks in the set and more overall time in the hanger!

And the first ten minutes with five pounds is really comfortable with the gentle tugging on the tissues.

Got a good three part session in this morning and notice that there is little soreness even though I’m doing 9 pounds BTC for 10 minutes at the end of the session.

I do still feel the odd grittiness sensation as the ligaments pull out though.

As I begin my second session I am feeling some soreness as the ligs stretch out, but nothing like the ripping that I felt by going right to heavy weight.

I am going to continue this approach for some time and see where this takes me.

I did see a slight drop in EQ two nights ago, but I’ve had cold symptoms as well, so that could be a factor also.

No I’m doing 30 minutes broken down into 10 minute sets increasing the weight with each set.

What I’m finding is that I’m able to do BTC with more weight (9 pounds) than you was before and I’m not getting the type of soreness in the ligs that I wad getting befoe.

I’m frankly not sure what this means as yet. Only the tape will tell for sure.
