Here are some picture of the Tire tube Hanger.

I have initially cut the tube to short. The actually size should be 5 x 18 cm.(6 cm to the valve)
The Velcro is 50 cm ( 18 cm to cover the tub on the back side)

I have try to give the idea how to make this Hanger.

Is not very easy to make the tub, but if somebody have a any suggestion all are welcome to contribute.

The Good Point about this tire tube Hanger is that, you can use it without the wrapping thing. I have try it to hang 4.5 kg.

I think the wrapping should be put on for more weight.

I have try to put also the Grippers but It does not working ok for me. Maybe somebody else can go on with this idea and find a better way.

Personally I am tired to try more ideas. I have spent until now a lot of energy, time and money to make Hangers.

I think Capt. Wench is better for smaller weights to hang Than Mine.

Sorry I forgot to take one picture concerning the glowing. In the first pic can be seen the glue pack. Well after you put the glue on the inside of the tube you press the ends. After they have been glue you bend the ends as shown in the pic and wrap with the tape.

Are you not able to just buy a bib hanger? I mean, with all the “energy, time and money” as you put it spent on this hanger….like so many of you guys seem to like doing….if you figured out the labor per hour….lol…comparing it to a mechanic’s hourly wages….you would be spending less money buying a bib hanger. Interesting design but I personally would not have the time or patience to build such a thing…especially if it took several attempts to get it just right.

It is truth what you say, and if you read my posts you can see that I have mention that Bib Hanger is The Best around Hanger. Also I have mention the reason I can’t buy it ( no credit card at the moment ) and the transfer bank will take to long. Also is truth that I like to build staff…and try new ideals.

I have been wondering about air tensioned hangers and ADS for quite some time. I had ski boots that worked this way years back, and they were the best I ever owned. Saw a guy on another forum using an Aircast to hang with not long ago and it interested me in the possibility more. I like your hanger, it is a step in the right evolutionary direction. I believe that air has the potential for the ultimate, comfortable, safe, no-wrap hanger (my Holy Grail of hangers). Keep up the fine work Pasi. When my hand heals I will see if I can fabricate something like you have presented here.

I was also thinking about experimenting with air-filled hangers.
Hard and inflexible hangers don’t agree with me.

How much maximum weight can it take?
Would 15 kg be a problem?

I’ve been playing around with your air idea. I bought one of the Neonatal BP cuffs with the 3” width. At first I was trying to find ways to modify it, such as ways to attach weights and using with and without wrap. For a few days I simply used it to hold in place a condom-like rubber sleeve that I purchased from Lengthwise.com. Each thing I tried got a little better until I discovered the best thing yet. The best modification I have found to the BP cuff is NO modification. Nothing needs to be attached, no wrap is required. The cuff already has a belt loop kind of thing inside. I simply attached a long thin elastic cord, kind of like a small bungee cord to the inside belt loop and put it behind my neck for a traction type devise. Then I just wrapped the cuff around my shaft pulling the glands clear and pumped it up just enough to hold the tension of the elastic cord. I have a very low LOT so I wear the cuff with a gently upward tug all the time under my clothes. By doing kegals constantly I keep a kind of tug-of-war going on all day. The beauty of this is because there is no wrap or anything to cover the tip; you can easily keep a check on color and coldness without removing the cuff. You can even urinate by just bleeding off some of the pressure. I don’t think this is a good device for hanging heavy weights without some modifications as have been discussed here, but for ulis and kegals and a comfortable traction device that can be worn almost continuously it works great. I paid $15.00 at a medical supply house. Sometimes the simplest ideas work best. Thanks for giving me the idea. Will keep the board posted on any gains if they come.

Since last Friday I haven’t PE because I have broke my back at the GYM EVERY BADLY.

Because of this I have not try more weights, I don’t know how much can take.

Pasi,
I am so sorry to hear about your injury. Take care of yourself and heal. I can’t do PE for now either, so perhaps we can both experiment with rest days. I have scrounged up an old innertube, and I have all the other materials at hand. Since I can’t do much PEing, I figure this is a good time to experiment with your design (although doing things with only my left hand is a bit tedious).

A neonatal BP cuff for an ADS? Sounds very interesting. I was planning a trip to the medical supply store for more eye patches this week anyway. How do you keep pressure off the dorsal nerve?
