I began hanging about a month ago using the Wench and am curious about the amount of weight I’m using. I’m hanging mostly at either a 10 o’ clock angle straight out, or OTL with it angled up towards my stomach. In both of these positions I’m using 12.5 lbs for 20 minutes and am barely feeling fatigued. I’ve read of people not getting to this amount of weight until much further in their hanging careers and became curious. Could years of improper PE’ing have caused my tissues to become extremely hardened? And if this is the case, does this greatly hamper my chances of getting length gains? Hope someone has some insight into this situation.

TTG, in my opinion, 12 lbs is not a lot for upper angles. If it were 12 lbs BTC, I would say that is a lot after only one month of hanging.

I think upper angles, especially OTS, require heavy weight. Andrew had success with light weight at SO, maybe he’ll chime in and share.

In regards to your question, ttg, it sounds like your wench just isn’t tight enough. Try clicking the CableClamp down enough so that the hanger actually grabs the inner structure of the penis: you’ll feel the fatigue!

In theory, you should continue to increase the weight until you hit a maximum. I believe your “maximum” is the greatest amount of weight you can manage to hang for a complete single set (20 minutes). Any more weight would be too much fatigue or pain for you to finish; any less would yield less than optimal fatigue.

The guidelines I’ve read suggest increasing the weight by a pound per week until you hit your max. You need to increase gradually to give your penile tissues (skin, veins, nerves, superficial facia) time to adapt.

Consistently hanging at weights below your max (i.e., not causing fatigue) will tend to strengthen your tissues rather than allowing them to elongate.

That said, once you hit your max, you will typically need to reduce the weight over the course of your sets, as the effects of fatigue set in. According to this way of thinking, it is important always to hang to fatigue. If you’re not fatiguing, you’re not gaining. The longer you can stay in the fatigued state, the better you will gain.

Could be. However, if it was really crapily done it probably wouldn’t strengthen the tissues too much.

I guess inconsistent would be a better way to describe it. I’d jelq and stretch vigorously for a week or so, become saddened when I didn’t get immediate results, then not do any PE for a month or so. Then repeating this patter for about the last 5 - 6 years. Had I stuck with it from the beginning I’d be monstrous by now, kind of like if I had stuck with college the first time I’d already be nearly done with my masters. Oh well, such is life.

Well I’ve bumped my weight up on my OTL hanging to 15 lbs. and it’s fatiguing me a bit more. The problem I”m having is my head swells up quite a bit during hanging, is this due to improper wrapping? I’m assuming it’s either the wrapping or the way I attach the Wench, I’m still trying to get it adjusted right for me. No matter how much I click it down it always wants to slide up the shaft, I’m sure this has something to do with me being uncut. Is there anyone else having this problem, or know of a thread that deals with it?

Gotta question bout hanging.I was having trouble with hangers and finding one that was comfortable on my head.made the PIET and it has been pretty comftable so far.no matter what hanger or what weight, it seems like I can’t get the hanger to stop going around the sides of my head when there’s tension (when I’m hanging) I tighten the hangers hard and and stretch out my cock when applying the wrap and hanger.but every time I hang the hanger seems to get over the head sometimes beit-pulling some skin with it.any tips?
