I will be completing my second year in PE soon. Gained 2/3 inch during this time. Have been hanging with regular BIB since August 2002. I get sore feeling in my ligaments but I seem not to gain lately. I keep in touch with the views on this board but I wonder what is limiting my gains when I do get sore from hanging. My current weight ranges from 16 to 20 lbs BTC while sitting at the edge of the chair coupled with DLD blasters. Have tried OTL and OTS hanging at times with a really stretched tunica. But the package seeems to be retracting back to its plateau size. Have made no gains since January this year. Does it mean I have reached the limit of my ligament gain component and should try the tunica only? Your thoughts will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Lets follow up on BIB’s LOT theory. What is your LOT? With repect to this, should you by hanging BTC or perhaps other angles for longer periods are required?

Another possibility is weight. If you have been hanging a while, perhaps it is time to increase weight again.

You do not mention your routine and hanging times. I would like to point out that many, myself included, have gone through periods, months, of hanging with no gain noticeable gain. If you have received results in the past, use the same routine and have not seen more results for some time, a change is likely.

Thanks for the reply. I have not been able to figure out my LOT as yet since I do not relly feel a tug at the base while keggling. However the underside of base does get swelled up with a kegel and the head feels the jerk. I hang 2 sets of 30 minutes each 5 days a week. I do not perform any other PE excercise except squeezes at times. I vary the weight between 16 to 20 lbs depending on soreness. I am sure the key lies in knowing the LOT first. Any guidance in this regard will be much appreciated. Thanks

Do not make the LOT test too tough. Simply grasp behind the head and stretch straight up gently. Then kegal. Do you feel a tugback? Now, wait about five seconds, move down to about 11:00 and kegal again. Feel the tugback? Repeat the process as you lower the angle until there is no tugback. At that point, you have determined your LOT. That is the point where your ligs take the stress instead of the inner tunica.
