Couple of pumping questions

Couple of pumping questions

Couple of questions..

First, just got my pump and starting slowly.
5 min, x1 time a day. Been pumping for 4 days in a row now.

Today I noticed small dots on my penis, think they are red.. What does that mean? Should I cut back already?
I’ve never gone over 5 on the in.HG vac scale on my mityvacpump. Usually lies on 4..

Sealing question. Do I know it’s sealed properly if the gauge is stable, or very slowly sinks?

And a question about lube, I have no lube ATM, so I use spit. Wondering if baby oil works? I read on the instructions that I should only use water based lube.. Does the baby oil contain some stuff that’s not good for my cylinder?

And when washing the cylinder, it won’t damage anything if I fill it up with warm water? I mean at the end, where the vent is.. It’s of course disconnected from the pump when washing it.

Red dots are a sign of too much pressure - ease off a bit until your unit gets conditioned to pumping.

The seal sounds about right.

Oil based lubes can damage the pump not the cylinder.

Wash the cylinder with warm water and a mild detergent - I use a small amount of bacterial hand wash and it seems fine.

Read ‘Pumping 101’; you will get lots of great information and much motivation to help you in your pumping career.

Second irishjim on all points.

Regarding the small red dots, those are not uncommon for someone starting any form of PE. You could get them if you were just doing manual PE with the Newbie Routine. You may want to take a day or two off to let them recover, and as irishjim said, cut back on the vacuum. There’s nothing wrong with 2 or 3 inHg.

Lube is important. It’s probably best to avoid baby oil or petroleum-based oils, for the health of the pump seals. Until you can get some water-based lube, you could try sparing quantities of vegetable oil (olive oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, etc.) or other natural oils like grapeseed oil. Even vegetable oils can gum things up over time, though, so use the minimum necessary. That’s probably less than you think; I’m talking a few drops as enough to do the job, spread evenly and thinly.

If you pump without lube, your shaft skin can stick, not slide, along the cylinder walls as you expand during the session, and that can cause some stress and skin irritation at the least. I’ve had that happen and took a few days off just to be on the cautious side. So, if you don’t want to have to take days off for that reason, use some lube!

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Red dots aren’t really a good sign, friends. They are about the mildest sign of overworking your unit, but they are a sign nonetheless. I’ve found that progress comes when you really don’t damage your penis. However, some donut effect, etc. may be seen as an injury when in fact it is your body’s way of helping add toughness to an area which apparently needs to be tough… So don’t confuse aesthetics that are functional adjustments your body makes for real injuries. Still, if you find yourself injured, do what everyone suggests and lay off a bit. One exception to the red dots may be clamping.

Recognize.

I still get some red dots after going down to about 2,5-3hg.

Not many, maybe 4-5 dots scattered around my penis, and not always, but often of the times.

How long are you staying in the cylinder?

Now I stay for about 2x 10min sessions.
Take it slowly.
But seems so that the red dots don’t appear so often anymore.

Sidequestion.
Do I have to have a boner while I’m inside the tube? I mean, I can get it hard, start pumping and then loose my erection. Still fills the tube like I would have an erection, but when I release the pressure it’s flaccid. Does it matter?

When you release the pressure do you went flaccid quick? Or how long does it take when you became flaccid?

Yes, I went flaccid quick when I release pressure after the timelimit is over (10 min now).

Wow!

What pump do you have? When you pump up for 10 mins were you semi erect or fully erect?

I will ask a question related to macho’s.

I go into the cylinder soft (no hard on at all) and when I am done I come out soft, although very engorged. Not erect but certainly very big and full.

In Chrisone’s response to macho it makes it seem that not being hard/erect on coming out of the cylinder is an odd or non ideal thing.

What is the correct understanding to have here?

I also just started playing with pumping this past week.

Coat up with liberal vasoline and lightly jelq until fully hard THEN enter the pump…
…Keep the pressure between 3 & 4 hg’s for 10 to 15 minutes, pull out, get hard again and repeat.

You can repeat this procedure until you are tired of doing it and you will not have any red dots…
…Take it easy and remember it always best to warm up and take things slow.

You can add 1 inch of girth easy doing this w/out risking injury provided you follow the simply instructions above…
…Appoximately 1 hour after pumping do 100 or so light jelqs attempting to keep an erection.

You will notice some gains for sure.

thanks for the information RWG

I’m pretty cautious when it comes to PE, but I wouldn’t worry TOO much about red dots if you get a limited number, for a limited duration, when you first start up PE of any kind. After all, you’re putting your penis under unfamiliar stresses and forces.

Many red dots, or persistent red dots, or recurrent red dots, or larger red dots/blotches, now that’s another story. Proliferation of number, duration, variety or size of red dots suggests too much force.
