Is this pump good for water pumping ?

How could I know if my pump can handle water inside ?

I don’t speak German so I can’t give you any advice on whether it says it is waterproof. But looking at the price I would guess not. Also Where is the actual pump on the unit?

The only one I know in Europe that is waterproof, is one from ’ body-images.co.uk.’ But they are not very helpful if you have a problem

The only way you could use water in your pump is to make absolutely sure that the water level never reaches the flange at the top which mean it must always be kept verticle in use and you have to keep an eye on the height of the water - and not allow it to get to the top of the tube.-

I understand what you’re saying with keeping the pump in a vertical position, but how can I get water inside so I don’t have to turn the pump upside down ? :)

My recommendation is to use the pump for air pumping only until you get a feel for the effect of different vacuum pressures on your shaft. Especially 5hg. Then go on line and find a cheap rubber ball pump package (I have seen them for US$ 12) and male connector (US$ 1.95 plus shipping).and use the ball pump for water pumping based on feeling. Water will get into your gauge no matter how careful you are. You may also be able to get just the rubber ball pump at a supplier of blood pressure meters.

I don’t think this pump, cylinder and gauge are compatible with water pumping, alin. Not if you want the gauge to continue to work.

The only was would be - using a small tube pushed into the base of the pump whilst wearing it and force water in that way . Not really recommended, but you wanted a way to do it :)

Thanks guys for your answers. So I shouldn’t use water with this one. Maybe buy a cheaper pump without a gauge(so I can use it with water) and try to reproduce the feeling that I get with the pump with the gauge ?
