Yes, I also wish the cylinder was larger than 2.4”. But I decided to just pack the tube and focus on length because I have enough girth. The adapter makes sense for some but I prefer the convenience of having the pump head and tube connected as one unit so it is hands-free.
I just got mine delivered and tested it out. I was going to use the adapter with the hose then I realized the adapter has the same male fitting as the hose does so should fit directly on the cylinder also. So I gave it a shot and what do you know, it worked! Check out the attached pic. It was pretty stable and I was completely hands off the whole time.
My first session I set it to -34-35 kPa which is about -10Hg (it goes up fast so you have to time it just right, the pressure is constantly changing), managed to set it to smart mode and set the hold time to 1 min.
So the pump keeps the pressure at the set value for 1 min then releases it completely for about 3 seconds before pumping it back up. I did have my heating pad wrapped around the entire session and came out with a little edema in the end, which went away with a little massage.
I have to say it was really very convenient not having to use my hands to pump and constantly looking at the gauge.. I think I’ll try half the pressure and hold for 2 mins next and find my baseline to complete the 20 mins without any edema.
