Pumping frequency

Something you might want to consider. I noticed in your heat pic that your heat pad appears to be doubled over itself when it is wrapped like that around the cylinder. I know it’s convenient for your set up to do it that way, but when the pad is folded over itself, it tends to over heat and it may greatly reduce your heating pad life. I believe you mentioned it was fairly expensive.

Oh, so that is why it gets hot like a mother fu…r after the first set… ;) Thanks! Not sure how I am going to fasten it without wrapping it around the cylinder.. Any tips?

I just kind of hold mine in a “U” shape around the cylinder, but I can also sit back in my couch, so the cylinder and heat pad are supported by the seat cushion. I know you will figure something out. :)

It is funny, I always had it in mind that the pumpers who had been at this for many months or years pumped daily or 5 days on and 2 days off.

But 3 or 4 times a week seems to be more usual.
I certainly look forward to pumping more when I have had the previous day off.

Today I heated my thickwall cylinder in the oven on it’s lowest setting (without pre-heating) for 5 minutes and was amazed how warm it was in such a short time.
I had to let it cool down before I could comfortably pump so next session it will only be in the oven for 3 minutes.

babbis, I just read your last post in your log you linked to.
I am interested in where you got that silicone sleeve from. Do you find it reduces lymph build up?
I get a donut so easily and want to try something like that.
Right now I can’t go over 10 minutes set time at 4HG.

You seem to be wearing it over the Glans too, I was thinking of wearing it under the Glans as mine gets so squashed as it is.

Any sex shop should have them. If not you could order online. I left a couple of links in my ads how-to thread in my signature. I believe someone found them at other online sex-shops as well.

I actually found it to give me more fluid build up but I only used the one sleeve witch caused my penis head to expand more, giving me a small donut on my frenulum. That was why I had it covering some of my glans. I wore it below my glans in my first two sets.

I would imagine that a condom would work better to minimize fluid build up. Or multiple sleeves covering your entire penis. Peforeal mentioned that he used multiple sleeves and that it reduced fluid build up.

Yes, I use multiple sleeves. I use two of the smaller ones layered one on top of the other right below the glans and a larger one to cover a good portion of the rest of my shaft to keep my dick stretched out while pumping. Works very well for keeping away the donut/fluid buildup below my glans and above my circumcision scar, which is my most susceptible area.

I have gotten to the point to where I no longer get lymph build up. At first I would get a slight donut that would subside a few hours later but now I dont get even the slightest donut and I dont use any sleeves or wraps at all. Guess I just got lucky and my unit adapted to the pressure.

I have had a total change in pumping philosophy since going to a low pressure one hour (3X20 minute sets) routine. Everything I do now is related to very low trauma and totally restoring a healthy look to my penis.

The maximum pressure that I now use is 4”hg and even at that pressure, I take my time when pumping up by pausing at 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5. I always use heat. But the biggest change for me is I have adopted peforeal’s every other day routine and in just a little over a weeks time, my results have never been better and I am confident I have a routine I will be sticking with for a long time.

If anyone has read my previous posts, they will know I have often called an every other day schedule the worst PE schedule going. But when doing PE for a hour at a time, I just couldn’t keep up with doing PE several days in a row without suffering negative effects. So now it is every other day for me. I still think that for guys that do PE for say 15 to 30 minutes a day you do get best results going for several days in a row. But for extended routines, it’s looking very good for an every other day schedule.

I still think a rest day or two is a good idea, just on general principles - even if 7 days on continuously works for you.

Years ago someone here at Thunders came up with the nifty theory of “Fooling Your Cock.” I think it had to do with a sudden shift in routine when gains were slowing. But the theory may apply to pumping frequency, too. If you pump 7 days a week - for weeks - you may begin to bore yourself. We all know that our brains and our cocks are pretty closely connected in spite of the several feet that separate them (guys who have their brains in their cocks notwithstanding. :) )

No matter what PE exercise(s) you do, that stress is popping (hopefully not visibly) little capillaries. A short break now and then allows for full healing and may also encourage tissue cell division.

gprent and peforeal are very old timers at this and very successful, too. My advice is to listen to what they say.

gprent, I am very pleased that you have found a routine that is working for you.
I read one of your posts from a couple of years ago and I know you were having trouble gaining and were determined to gain that following year.

You also mentioned in this thread that all you gained from your everyday routine was knowledge so hopefully this every other day routine will give you the results you want.

Over the years I seem to have been susceptible to injury and like you now I am more interested in low trauma and trying to get a result from the least amount of vacuum pressure.

I now always stay under 4HG and pump up slowly to that.
I had some quite bad discolouration back in 2004 which I managed to get rid of an don’t want to get it back again.

Sorry. I read this forum everyday but the other vets are doing a fine job of keeping it on track so I get to watch more.

I quit the frequent routine I used to do when I got to a size I like very much. Now I just tinker around with a “maintainance” program to keep what I worked for. I still enjoy the pumping experience, I just don’t work hard at it. The best routine for me now seems to be condom pumping and some jelking; a good workout maybe once a week for a half hour and in between, like in the shower now and then, some flaccid stretching and, if I get aroused, some manual Uli squeezes. I’ve found that as a post-PEer, I don’t lose girth but there is about a half inch of length that tends to revert if I get too lazy. The good news is that it’s only a half inch that comes and goes. The rest of the 2.39 L I gained through PE is always still there no matter how slovenly I get about the maintenance, proof enough to me that, once well “cemented,” most gains are permanent. At least for me.

I prefer to pump erect for the duration of my pumping session. I think it works best for trying to make length gains, in particular.
