Question about LA PUMP.

Question about LA PUMP.

I received my pump from LA pumps yesterday and tried it out last night. It would not keep a steady pressure unless I kept pumping it is that normal? I had the impression that it would keep the same pressure while not squeezing the handle, maybe loose a little but not have to keep pumping. I was holding the tube tight against me for a better seal. Any info would be great thanks :)

You need to use some sort of lube around the base of your dick so that a seal can form. You can use Vaseline, Albolene, or another lube of your choice. There is even a lube available that is specifically for pumpers, I believe it’s called Stallion Pumper’s Lube or something like that. Also, shaving or trimming around the base will help you get a better seal.

J Meister "Building a phallus worthy of worship."

Even doing all the good stuff J Meister suggests, you may still have to do fairly continuous pumping to maintain pressure. I think it’s about the shape of your groin. Placing a flat-bottomed object against a basically convex surface?

This is probably obvious, but check that all connections between the pump and cylinder are tight.

ok thanks for all the tips. I do shave regularly. I’ll try some more lube maybe even a cockring might help a little. thanks again everyone.

This might help. For the pressure fitting that screws into the top of the cylinder: In addition to the “O” ring on this fitting, wrap the threads with plumbers Teflon tape and then screw in securely, but not overly tight.

I used KY jelly for my lube/seal at the base. Apply a coat to the base of your cock and a coat on the flat surface of the tube and 1 or 2 inches inside the tube.

With this seal arrangement, I only had to pump occasionally to maintain pressure. Also, the good thing about using the KY is that in addition to it being very easy to clean up, there is no chance it will deteriorate any of the pump hardware.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Tubes

BG even while it is attached. It was more expensive, go figure. The little O-ring on the hose coupler on the tube that leaks looks a little worn. May try to replace it if it gets worse. I think they have them at Home Depot, but kind of hate to mess with it while it is working at all, but will let you know. Meanwhile try disconnecting the hose and see it your tube holds pressure. But I agree with what has been said in this thread, pumping seems to bring the easiest and most trouble free gains, and is more enjoyable than all other PE. How permanent it is another matter all together.

Gimme,

If none of the above suggestions alleviate the problems, consider that you have a defective cylinder!

August 29th I bought a new 1 3/4 x 9” cylinder from Night Hawk Leather, Houston….it was an LAPD cylinder. From the outset cylinder was not holding vacuum; having purchased a cylinder in 2001 directly from LAPD, I was well aware of their no return policy after cylinder removed from celophane.

To establish immediately what I perceived as a defective cyoinder, I emailed LAPD on Sept 3rd and had a response later that day, asking that I return cylinder with my pump and they would make good.

I delayed as long as possible returning cylinder, waiting until a trip to east coast. Repaired cylinder should be on way back to me now.

Just my experiences….

gprent101,

I eschew traditional lubes and let a good LAPD cylinder sit on shelf for nine months because I needed to lube my dick to get into cylinder. My previous cylinder had recessed inner walls.

I was perusing Try using shaving cream: Ray on using a VED

On using a VED…

TRY SHAVING CREAM I like using shave cream because I do not clean my cylinders that frequently (do bacteria grow on soap?). Periodically shave cream will foam up to connection and bled back into line….my pump has no gauge….so I just immerse line into water and pump water through line and pump.

Just my experiences….

Whoa, I had to look up eschew. New word for me.

I think bacteria grows on just about anything. I cleaned my cylinder after every use. My gage pump is not water immersible.

gprent101,

I was a microbiologist/virologist. Soap has antimicrobial properties….therefore I don’t think bacteria grow on soap or on dried shave cream which is what shave cream becomes in cylinder. I’ve had no uretheral infections.

You’re right, if your pump has a gauge you cannot pump water through it.
Actually my brass pump, and perhaps yours is brass also, are marine pumps for pumping water out of small boats.

I hope you are right about the bacteria thing. Bet your cylinder looks scummy though. Kind of creepy for me, but’s that’s just me. Mine is crystal clear, no brag, just fact.

gprent101,

The dried shave cream does accumulate over time and I will clean it maybe every six weeks.

Your cylinder may look crystal clear, but I would wager mine has fewer bacteria than yours.

OK, you’re on! Whoops, I’d wager, no wagering allowed.

I just hope Gimmie has enough info to solve his problem.

yeah its was working fine, I had tightened the fastner too the tube, but then I guess it spun around and became too loose again. I’ll find some teflon tape and add it to the threads to stop air and to make it harder to undo. Thanks for all the help everyone. :D
