straight walled cylinders

Are there other manufacturers that make straight wall cylinders (uniform diameter) other than LA Pump? I might be wrong, but it seems like several other brands (boston, picturebrite, etc.) have cylinders with a taper (base is narrower than the rest of the tube).

All the cylinders I’ve seen have a flared base that is wider than the rest of the tube.

The Picturebrite cylinders don’t actually taper, it’s just that they are slightly crimped at the flange which is why people have reported that they are narrower at the base. At least that’s the case with mine.

The walls on them are straight.

What Mjolnir observes about the Picturebrite tubes is true generally. Some may be slightly narrower at the entrance, but are straightwall otherwise. I don’t think the slight narrowing at the entrance to the tube is much of a drawback.

I can tell you that Vacutech thickwall cylinders are straight with no narrowing at the entrance.

The only tubes I am familiary with that actually taper are the Kaplan cylinders, which I consider to be a disadvantage.

Thanks for all of the responses. FYI, I just bought a Kaplan cylinder and it definitely tapers towards the head. I want a 1.75” straight wall tube. I’ll do more research.
