Vacuum Loss During Pump

Vacuum Loss During Pump

Hey guys. Been out of PE for a while and want to get back in. Sorry if this has been answered but I haven’t seen anything about vacuum loss in any of the threads I’ve read, and am wondering if anyone else experiences this.

So as I’m pumping, I make sure there’s no leak at the base of my penis, but my pump leaks out air through the pressure release valve. I have to squeeze the trigger on my pump every three to five seconds to get the vacuum pressure to where I feel work is actually being done, which is about 10mm Hg according to my gauge.

I’ve tried pinching the tube but that doesn’t work. Are there any brands that don’t leak air back into the tube? Are the pumps at adult stores built not to lose pressure? My pump is homemade after one I saw, I believe on this site. I got a brake bleeder from autozone and used a fish tank cleaner tube.

Thanks for the help guys, and once again sorry if his has been answered.

I have two made by Le Luv that I bought from their eBay store. Very affordable, and they’ve been reliable thus far.

The vast majority of pump set ups require you to pump the handle very regularly to maintain pressure. It’s usually the pump itself that allows leakage. If you have a quick release valve on top of your cylinder (normal with a commercial cylinder, but probably not a fish tank one!) you can just disconnect the hose when you are at the vacuum level you want, and any air leakage will be from around pubic hairs etc. as none will leak through the valve.

Your pump will be fine - it will probably be exactly the same as you would get with a top class commercial cylinder. A proper cylinder is worth getting.

Ferservadu2, thanks. Will check the out.

Fire goat, just the tube is for a fishtank. The pump does have a quick release valve, but I find that it doesn’t seal all the way, assuming to let fluid continue through since it was for bleeding brakes. And thanks for the info. I’ll find some way to fashion a clamp similar to that on an IV line maybe.

The pumps you get with Le Luv, Thickwall or any of the other top cylinder makes are exactly the same as you get for bleeding brakes. They are pretty generic - the PE industry doesn’t have pumps made especially for it.

Thanks firegoat. At least I didn’t have to find that out the hard way and lose some cash.

Are you sure it’s the release valve? If so, it sounds faulty. It should not be leaking that much. Especially not at 4”Hg.

I just tested my own. Starting at 4”Hg, over 5 minutes the loss was barely noticeable (I’d estimate 0.25”Hg or less).

Maybe you’ve got an exceptional pump. Mine is the same as the OPs.
