Vacuum Pumping 101

I’ve just started pumping and get the same. Rock solid in the pump but as soon as I’m out I’m not hard, nicely engorged flaccid, but not hard.

Hey, my thoughts are that you’re not erect inside the tube, it’s like your penis is flaccid engorged. Try watching some porn and be aroused, try to do some PC muscles exercises, kegel. You should feel having a real erection while being inside the tube.

I think it’s important to pump rock hard and not flaccid engorged. (entering flaccid and erecting inside is ok, might help sometimes).

Second point, watch out for fluid build-up, pumping for too long and having too much fluid doesn’t help having and maintaining an erection.

I personally use 2 silicone sleeves while pumping, one capped and one normal sleeve that I bought from mattersofsize

For the capped one, I made a tiny hole at the very top of it so we have the same pressure in and outside the silicone sleeve and also so it doesn’t inflate because of the small amount of air trapped under it.

Having these sleeves on creates a positive pressure applied on the tunica of the penis which help with fluid build-up. The expansion inside the tube might be smaller (=your dick is smaller than usual at “high” pressure) because there’s almost no fluid build-up which makes it true expansion!

I usually keep wearing them 15-20mins after the pumping sessions.

Hi.

Is anyone here doing pumping with some firm cock ring on? If so, do you think it contributes to gains?

I am currently doing some nice jelqing alternating with squeeze with another hand on around 80% erection, and after I do 3x10 min pumping with firm (not the cheap basic one) cock ring on, its quite tight but not cutting blood flow. I just started this one and I have got positive Pis already.

Check out the beginners routine as well. It should help quite a bit.

Awesome! Looking forward to increased flaccid length.

Just Pumped for the first time

I have been scrolling through the thread but perhaps someone can help me with a blunt answer. Once I pressure the pump up to my desired pressure, do I just leave it alone until the pressure goes down in which I pump back up? And do nothing at all while the pressure is optimal? Or do I use the cylinder to jelq with while the pressure is optimal?

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY MEMBER WHEN THE PRESSURE IS OPTIMAL?

What’s the pressure and how long does it take to drop?

I get up to either 5 or 6 and it takes forever to drop, maybe 3 minutes. There is almost no decline in pressure at all. Should I be relieving pressure throughout pumping?

5-6 hg is not bad and it should maintain pressure with a good seal.

Also, I don’t understand your statement here. If the pressure is slowly dropping over three minutes how is there no decline in pressure?

Just trying to understand and help?

If I can’t help, I am sure that others with more experience can.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, there is no drop in pressure whatsoever. Is there supposed to be a drop once you reach optimal pressure? Followed by more pumping to regain optimal pressure again?

Yes, the pressure is supposed to drop gradually. If you want to keep the pressure between 5-6, you pump a little more every time the needle drops below 5.

Not sure if I understood your jelqing question correctly, but you can’t jelq while your penis is in a pump. I’d recommend reading the FAQ carefully and thoroughly.

Ideally there should be no drop in pressure, although slight reductions are common. It can be difficult to get and maintain a perfect suction seal. The pressure will drop if you have an imperfect seal or your dick is getting smaller. Dry skin, pubic hair and cylinder movement can allow a path for air to come in thus reducing pressure. Similarly a bad connection between hose and cylinder or hose and pump will cause a pressure loss.

I always check my quick disconnect fittings to make sure they are tightly connected as they are easy to pull free. My biggest issue causing pressure drop is not being able to stay still for my pump session. If I move without holding the cylinder tight against my body I’ll lose suction.

Really? Not sure what I’m doing wrong. My pubes are shaved, I move very little. I think I check off all the other boxes. What kind of pump do you use?

Do you lube up? Need to get a good seal at the base. I have leluv tubes and the basic brake bleeder hand pump from Harbor Freight (Amazon also has them). If your tube has a screw type valve (not formed in plastic with the tube) you need to make sure it is tight as that is also a leak point. Also check all hose connections as the hose can stretch over time and leak.

I have also noticed on my brake bleeder pump that the bleed button is very sensitive and can stick open slightly.

I lube. My pump is also from LeLuv. Maybe I’m not screwing the valve on as tightly as I should.

To be clear, I’m not suggesting that I go a full 20 min session without having to pump down. I do expect to go 5 min or more before needing more vacuum. I’m generally laying on the bed with my tube propped up on a pillow for support. The more I move around, the more I need to add suction.

A note for the general reader:
I first wrote this and said increase pressure, etc., which is incorrect, so revised it. The reality is we are working with negative pressure (suction), so an increase in pressure means we have a leak or otherwise reducing suction. Probably everyone understands this and I am just being Captain Obvious.
