Vacuum Pumping 101

So does pumping permanently increase size?

I’m my opinion, that’s a subjective question in that permanent with PE usually entails consistency. Your dick is not a muscle but the same logic applies: You can “permanently” build muscle only by way of maintaining it thru continuous stimuli.

In that, if you take the next 5-years to put on a decent amount of muscle and then all of a sudden seize to continue to train; you can’t expect that same muscle will remain after another 5-years of the muscle building signal disappearing.

The good news is the frequency to keep it is less than what it took to get it. As an example, the guy who pumps for 5 days a week for a period of 6-months to a year may only need to pump 2-3 days a week to keep his gains.

Hello guys, I’ve one basic question about pumping sorry about that I’m very new to all this PE stuff. If I already have my full erection when I enter the tube, how much to pump it then? Just a little bit and then hold it in the tube? I’ve an ordinary air pump without a gauge on it.

Hey lokiloki,
Without a gauge is tough to say. You really gotta watch close.

What you can do: Kegel and watch your glans in the tube. If it expands and contracts with your kegel, do another pump. Just when it stops contracting, is a good place to start. You’ll be just over your natural vascular ability.

The best you can do: Get a pump with gauge and you won’t have to guess and you’ll be pumping to the same level every time.

It’s very easy to over pump without a gauge, and you’ll pay with discoloration, varying levels of (hopefully temporary) ED, and potentially pain.

Please get a gauge.

Thank you man! Will get it.

Amazing thread.

Decided to get a pump and go for it after watching Susan Bratton on a podcast. Using a combination of the sizing guide on this forum and what Susan recommended I bought 1.75” and 2.5” cylinders and a pump with a gauge from a company here in the UK.

Starting this week I’m currently trying:
3-5 minutes warm up with NIR/IR light.
10 minutes whole package in the 2.5” cylinder.
100 Jelqs.
15 minutes in the 1.75” cylinder.
100 Jelqs.
20 minutes in the 1.75” cylinder.
Whilst in the cylinders I use the NIR/IR light for the first 10 minutes and do Kegels and milking.

A few questions if I may.

How does the above look?
Is it necessary to tie off at the end? It feels really uncomfortable.
The cylinders I have are tapered and I’m finding my glands are packing the 1.75” on the last set so would it be a good idea to get a 2” cylinder and use that on the last set?

Been pumping every other day for the last 6 weeks with a pressure of 3-5 and starting out at BPEL 5.5” and EBG 5” with an ultimate goal of BPEL 6.5” and EBG 5.5” - 6”

All help appreciated.

Expansion

Since this is the pumping thread,

Seems some get either great expansion/edema in the pump to pack. Others, some.expansion yet not any or no edma and dont pack the tube.

Why? Anyone know. I fall into the latter category.

Goal 7.5 x 6.5

Start 4/22 6 x 5.25 BG

Current 11/22 6 x 5.5 BG 4-7/8" MG

Hey guys, is there any kind of poll/statistic about the gains just from pumping vs pumping and I.e Jelqs vs other?

I think it’s duration and intensity dependent. With good heat; I don’t visibly start expanding until about the 20 minute mark, edema starts setting up at about 30 minutes, for me. If it was a cold pump, add 10-15 minutes to that.

Not that I’m aware of. I could be wrong, but I think in general, we tend to throw the sink at it and it would be difficult to find someone that does just one thing. The better part of my first year was just stretching and pumping. More pumping than stretching, stretches were often skipped.

Create a poll and find out.

Ty for the info. What hg do u pump?

I also just read.ypur entire progress thread.

I pumped 2wice at 6hg and now im on a small break because it totally wrecked my eq and my unit. I usually stat under 4hg,but I wantrd to push and see what would happen.

I also do 10 min max intervals, 3.sets. Heat is sp hard to incorpprate but I do see its advantage.

Im just resting until my unit feels better. Ty

Happens to all of us. I jumped in heavy first off and thought I broke myself. EQ was non-existent, along with bruising, and edema (which i didnt know what it was at the time) scared me pretty good.

I rarely go over 6”hg. I’m typically at 4”-5”hg most of the time. A few months back I was using a pulsing routine to 15”hg, but I didn’t hold that. It was up and right back down in a few seconds.

A healthy human has an internal pressure that relates to about 2.4”hg in the tube, theoretically anything above that will cause expansion -eventually. We can speed it up a bit by increasing hg, but we need to equally decrease the amount of time we spend there, to avoid negative PI’s.

You’ll get more used to it the more you do it. You’re smart to rest and recover. Find your limit and toe it, push beyond it now and then, then back off again. When you come back from rest don’t go straight back to where you were, come back easy the first day. When you’re back on the swing, if you can handle 3x10, try 2x15 instead and see how the duration treats you. If it’s good, do that for a couple weeks or so before you add any more. It’ll help you work up.

Can pumping be used to improve EQ? I’m having problems with ED after going too hard vacuum hanging. I have an LA pump that I haven’t used yet.

Is it diagnosed ED or from overwork? If you have temporary ED from overwork, pumping will just make it worse. You need to rest.

If it’s true diagnosed ED, it certainly can. A typical ED routine that I’ve seen is:
1x5 at 3inhg
5 mins jelq
1x5 at 4inhg
5 mins jelq
1x5 at 5inhg
5 mins jelq
No more, no less.
There are some real vets around that pump for that specifically, hopefully they’ll chime in, too.

Thanks for your feedback. It is indeed from over work/failure to prioritize EQ above all. When I realised how much my EQ has decreased I went on an immediate decon. This decon started 6 weeks ago. My EQ has improved slightly but still a long way off what it was. I got my first morning wood this morning since the injury but my EQ is still only 80ish% of what it usually is. So I’m guessing just more rest is the best for my situation?
