Vacuum Pumping 101

There are two schools of thought on that: the “do one thing until you stop getting results” guys, and the “mix it up to work on different areas” guys. Both have been successful following their routines.

For a lot of men time is a big issue, particularly if they have a busy schedule or want to maintain their privacy.

I was wondering what do most of the experience pumpers do in regards to pumping to desired level and detaching the cylinder or do they keep the pump attached and monitor the pressure that way. Especially doing the long sessions, or the incremental style.

I’m new to air pumping and assumed to just sit and watch the gauge, and tried to keep a steady pressure. I have since read a little bit about electric pumps that takes away that and just sit at a consent pressure. Then I saw a YouTube video from one of the owners of LA Pumps and he said he pumps to desired pressure and detaches and reads a book for 30 to 45 minutes.

Any advice would be appreciated, and any pros or cons in regards to detaching or monitoring the pressure.

Either way works- find what is most convenient for you.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

So I am reevaluating my pump and routine based on the helpful information in this forum.

Can someone check my thought on cylinder size? I would really like to build girth and length. I am 4.65” at base at mid shaft, and 5.75 BPEL. So am thinking of doing the newbie routine detailed in this forum and ordering a cylinder from LAPump at 1.75” inside diameter x 7” long. Does that size make sense?

Have you read through this thread? It might be helpful.

Selecting Your Cylinder Size

I have read through the thread thanks, I suppose I was unsure if you are going for both girth and length how to best size the cylinder. Is it best to focus on one objective at a time (girth vs length) and get two cylinders that correspond to the objective’s goal? Or can you do both with one cylinder? Thanks!

I like the control of the manuel brake but my cylinder slowly leaks when I disconnect the hose. Is there a simple way to stop that? Perhaps a fitting?

Does it leak if you leave the the hose attached?

If it only leaks when the hose is detached it is the female fitting. Try clicking the metal release to see if it releases/closes the valve. If no change then you can either replace the female fitting (~$12) or get another male fitting, a small hose section and a hose plug. When you disconnect the pump hose just insert your new plug hose. The male plug is a more costly option unless you already have the parts.

Thanks - I will look into a male fitting with a piece of hose to correct it. I have 2 leluv cylinders both leak & both I have made sure the metal release is free so go figure. Also to answer they do not leak when connected to the brake so that should be a solution.

Thunders really needs a “PE bloopers” section. Didn’t know where else to put this. Just too funny not to share.

Recently started a pumping routine a few weeks ago. Prefer aloe vera gel for sealing etc. Seems to work good, easy on the skin, easy clean, and you can pick up a small vat for a few bucks at the discount retailers.

Anywho, there I go today with my usual routine and after 15 minutes I literally have 0 feeling in my cock. I’m losing my mind, sure I just broke my dick. Spent several minutes thinking about pressure and my gauge said between 3-5hg the entire time. Then it occurs to me it’s my anniversary. So I’m running through various explanations I’m going to use to get myself out of having sex and further wondering if I’ll ever have sex again. Finally resigned to I’m just screwed. I go take a shower and am just praying the poor bastard comes back to life but I still have no feeling over an hour later. Like it’s just not there. Been at this PE journey for a minute so I’ve had some small easy recovery injuries but have never felt anything like this.

Hour and a half later I wander by the aloe jar on the desk. My poor numb lifeless cock laying in my shorts like a frost bitten appendage and notice some fine print on top. “Aloe for severe burns- contains 8% lidocaine”. Fml

Needless to say I’m fine. Moral of the story, choose your lube wisely, and read the fine print.

Nice catch! 🤣 Might be useful for the ultra-sensitive as well.

What do you think of the training schedule? 2 days open 1 closed 5 days open 2 covered . Like 1 open 1 closed. Is every day harmful?

Start 01.07.2022 ----7.5 - 6.2

My goal 9,5 - 8

I think that depends on the individual. I do 2 short sessions a day, 5 days a week. Some do better with 2 on/1 off or 1/1. I would recommend starting with 1/1 for 2-4 weeks, then bump up to 2/1 for 2-4 more weeks and keep a close eye on your PIs. If all is good, go to 3/1 or 5/2 and see how that does. Once you find your personal “too much”, back up a step and settle in.

I don’t have enough posts to start a thread about this and I don’t want to necrobump an old thread so, I guess I’ll put my question here.

I bought an infrared lamp to enhance my pumping sessions. It’s a MitoPro 300.
I figured its safe enough but, now as I read around I see a lot of conflicting information regarding exposure time and optimal distance away from the lamp. I even see some people claim infrared can cause cancer even though its used as a treatment for pain, acne, inflamation, low T, etc.

Right now I’m pumping 2 days on, 1 day off, at 5mmhg for a total of four 10 minute sessions with a 1 minute break between sessions (about 45 minutes total).
I use a clear tube from LAPump.

In my mind it would be ideal to have infrared exposure shining on my package for the entire 45 minutes so I’m getting heat the entire time. Would I be wrong in thinking so?

Has anyone here stopped using infrared because you came across some damning information? How exactly do you incorporate infrared into your sessions? As just a warm up, or do you have it on for long periods of time?

Some feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks all!

There are several papers on infrared healing on nih.gov. They average around 20 minutes for recommended exposure. If I remember right there was no damage from longer exposure, it just didn’t do anything useful. All of the papers I read said they used the light once a day.

I have a gooseneck lamp attached to a nearby shelf. I’m acclimated to pumping, so it’s convenient to use the light through the tube for 15 minutes on the bottom, 15 minutes on the top, during a 30-minute session. If you’re using 20-minute or shorter sessions, just do one surface for one session, the other for the next. You can do left/right if it’s more convenient.

There are various plastics used for transparent pump tubes. I looked up the IR transmissivity of them a while back, and they’re all 90 to 92% at 660-850 nanometers, so no problem for illuminating through the tube.

That wavelength of IR is ‘generally considered safe’ by the FDA, but there’s a condition called ‘glassblower’s cataracts’ from looking into furnaces radiating a lot of IR. I arrange a pillow or a roll of paper towels to block direct sight of the lamp when necessary.

My IR illuminator gets warm to the touch, but not hot. I move it up until it’s actually touching the tube.
