What to look for in a post pump cock ring?

What is it you guys find works best when purchasing a post pump ring, or just a ring in general.

I see a lot of options out there when i go to my local sex shop.

A metallic ring is safer and works better. Contrary to the opinion of some vets, way more knowledgeable than me about pumping, I’d suggest to never wear a cock ring after pumping.

I like the jelly cock rings they sell in the sex shops. 6 for 7-10 $

They stretch to fit, so they are easy to get on and off.

I put one on right after coming out of the tube and then massage an erection for several minutes.

That really enhances post-pump girth.

Why would a metallica ring be safer? Wouldn’t something with more give be safer?

Marinera, do you think wearing a cock ring after pumping could damage the penis in a way ? or you think that this procedure is not worth the time as it doesn’t produce any gains ?

IMHO I think that waring a cock ring after pumping is dangerous because it doesn’t drain fluid, so it can cause too much congestion.

The best thing a vacuum pump does, is to fill the penis with more blood, which means more oxygenation. A cock ring does the adverse. Although the CR can keep the penis engorged longer, this is counterbalanced by the reduced flow of fresh blood, IMHO.

For my personal experience, wearing a cock ring after pumping is really really dangerous. It can give you some gains (good gains) but it’s so dangerous for the veins. Thrombosis is so close and you never know when is too late, until when it happens.

Anyway I’m completely agree with Marinera about this matter.

I’ve been wearing cock rings after pumping for 5 years and I’ve never had any problem.

I still pump - much more cautiously - and wear a jelly ring for short periods. No problems.
Just don’t do either for more than 15 - 20 mins.

I don’t bother with it anymore since I’m always packing the tube and using lower pressure.

Rating helps organize the forum, lets the community judge which are the most valuable threads, making them easier to find when organizing threads by ‘rating’ (a feature unique to Thunders’ w/ regards to most other forums, and extremely helpful for finding good info).

I’ve been looking into some of the cockrings on PumpToys.com, but after reading this thread I’m second guessing that. I’m very prone to injury and also have noticeably thinner veins/arteries in my penis.
