drops of blood from urethra due to manual stretching?

Hi guys,
sometimes I get a drop of blood from my urethra after manual stretching. I use toilet paper to have a better grip, and then once in a while, I find a red spot on the paper. It never actually bleeds after that. I can’t ‘push/milk’ any more out, it’s just that drop.

Whenever this happens, I always stop for the day, sometimes wait 2-3 days, sometimes continue next day.
I think it happens once every 1-2 weeks.

I guess this means I am overdoing it? Or not? Because I myself don’t feel it’s extremely intense or anything. Just 3x1 minute in different directions, and then I do that 4-5 times a day.
I do put a lot of pressure on the penis head, so perhaps I am ‘squeezing’ blood from the capillaries/mucosae?
If I stretch less hard, I feel I am not making any progress!

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!

(PS: I also use a leg strap after the manual stretching, and I never jelq/hang/pump)

That would have freaked me out. Sorry, haven’t good any good advice but someone else will surely chime in.

If you are bleeding from your urethra that’s a problem.

I have been manually stretching protty agressively when i am not able to hang and i have never had any bleeding at all. Manual stretching should not cause bleeding.

If you are bleeding, my strong suspicion is that there is something else going on in your unit and I would find yourself a urologist ASAP

Don’t mean to be an alarmist … but better safe than sorry

Where are you gripping your penis?

Check your penis carefully, see if there isn’t a small cut or stripping somewhere, expecially on the frenulum.

thanks,
how hard do you grip it? Because I think that’s the problem.
I use toilet paper, and 2 hands (one holding glans, then other holding the other hand to increase grip power). So quite a lot of force perhaps…?

See the problem is: since I started to stretch manually, I have made more gains in 3 months than in the preceding year. It really overcame my plateau… So naturally I am a bit reluctant to change anything…

Sounds like far too much grip force. There have been quite a few threads on this in the past in the injury forum.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

Hmm yes I searched, but didn’t find specifically what I was looking for. Perhaps I should try again…

Do most ppl stretch with one hand only?

I normally grip with one hand and use the other hand on the gripping hand to provide the stretch. Move into stretch slowly, feeling the stretch all the time. Stretch to what you feel is as long as you can make your penis, (don’t use more strength than is needed to get max length, but use enough to make sure you cannot get any more length), then mentally try to relax into the stretch. When the feeling of stretch becomes less, increase the stretch slightly until you feel you are at max possible length again. Concentrate on your breathing, and really try to feel your penis relaxing into the stretch on each out breath.

I myself would rest for a few days and then see a doctor if it continues to happen. Better safe than sorry. I’m pretty rough one mine in the stretcher but there are never any signs of blood or I would stop immediately.

Hope you can find out what is causing the bleeding.

It’s unlikely that blood come out from urethra from manual stretching, if the proper grip is used. You can have small scratches that make you think the blood is coming from the urethra when it is not the case.

Blood can come out from urethra is you squeeze the shaft - the urethra is very sensitive. It’s not a big problem though, it heals in a few hours. Take a couple of days off just to be on the safe side, but don’t worry too much. Change grip if really the blood is coming out from the urethra though, or you could develop an internal inflammation.

Blood from the urethra due to the mild trauma of manual stretching — could be indicative of an STI. I would suggest a trip to the general practicioner, or free clinic to get a urethral swab, some blood drawn, and a full sexually trransmitted disease panel done.

The diseases that could cause such discharge are not life threatening (except syphilis, which if left untreated can cause insanity and death).

They can be treated with a 2 week course of antibiotics.

Took Time off, lost some gains-- Girth cemented

No PE since 2015 -- starting back up

Hi everyone,
thanks for your thoughts.

I’ll take it easy for a while, I think I am gripping too hard.
It’s defo not an STI as I got a full screen a while back (just a general check up).

I think I am less worried than some of you here are… There’s a lot of force on the glans when I stretch, much more than from a leg strap or extender. So apparently my unit doesn’t respond well to such high levels of force very localised.
It’s just 1 drop, not a flow of blood. Don’t get me wrong, it should not be there at all. Not even 1 drop. But I myself think it’s mild trauma due to me pulling and gripping too hard.

Will keep you updated.
Thanks

PS: about seeing a doctor: (I know in the US you can just go see a specialist, but not here in the UK)

I’m a medical doctor myself (not urologist) and I know enough about how stuff will go here in the UK:

This will happen if I go see my doctor (and I agree with this):
- blood still there? no
- stopped? yes
- blood on urinating/ejaculation? no
- pain in penis or on urinating? no
- other symptoms: fever, bleeding elsewhere, weight loss? no
- is there a clear reason for bleed? yes: extreme repeated trauma to glans (he will be like: WTF?)
- chance on STI? no

Conclusion based on this consultation: Will I be referred? NO. (Also because the only reasonable test they could do is a cystoscopy, and inserting a scope into my urethra will only cause more trauma and bleeding.)

So I am not worried something sinister is going on.
What I am worried about is that my technique is not good, and that I am causing trauma, which is never good. So I should change my routine so this will NEVER happen again. And that’s the exact advice my doctor (if I would visit him/her) would give me (plus the advice to grow up and not worry about my penis, lol)

One of the reasons’ why I started this thread was to find out how other people stretch effectively without causing to much trauma.

Dr. Gus

OK … So you’re an MD … I guess that makes me a “little” less concerned.
Also … you’re in the UK … so I understand the trama associated with entering into the NHS phone center hell required to see a specialist.

That said … I still don’t think that ANY form of PE should cause ANY sort of bleeding for ANY reason … EVER.
When I do my manual stretches … here is how it goes. I use a cotton comfort rag and I grab my John Thomas with an under hand grip and pull pretty much as hard as I can for 45 seconds … up down left and right.
I do this for 4 or 5 sets with 5 or 10 uli’s in between each set. When I first started out I got some red dots on the glans but that went away after a week and it hasn’t re-occured.
No blood … not any … not EVER.

If you are bleeding it is very unlikely that it is the very tame and unaggressive routine that you have been doing that has caused it … particularly if you are not new to PE.
My concern is that it is potentially something else that has changed that the PE is exascerbating.

Doctors (God bless your little white socks) are historically UNBELIEVEABLY BAD at self diagnosis. This is not a new concept

At a minimum … get onto one of your “Doctor” blogs or websites … or find an old med-school buddy that decided to specialize in urology and have a Doctor-to-Doctor phone call with a urologist just to verify that you are correct and that their years of study as a specialist has left them no more insightful than a qualified MD.

This is an investment of a couple hours max … that you can do it from your couch in your boxer shorts … you don’t even need to put your pants on
