Hard Lump Like Vein on Top of Penis

Yes it has come and gone several times over the last year or two, with complete recovery during the “gone” periods. On average it has lasted ~2 weeks each time. And within that ~2 week time period there are days where it is almost imperceptible, and other days where it is very clogged and raised up. It can even switch between these states quickly.

Inevitably though, it does go away, it doesn’t last forever. Every medical resource I’ve seen, and all the anecdotal evidence here on TP, and my own experience says that if you just leave it alone, it takes care of itself. One day you will realize, hey it’s been a couple weeks without any problems. And hopefully that’s the last you ever have to think of it. But it may recur in the future.

For exercise, I’d say I do a little currently, definitely not a lot. I had the same thought, that regular cardio is good for one’s health in general, and skeletal muscle does play a minor role in pumping the lymphatic system. So I’ve been out for a couple jogs this past week.

It’s pretty unpredictable, but I think I will eventually figure out what methods are aggravators and what methods are safe.

Thanks man, that’s great to read and very encouraging. I tend to think it’ll disappear too, but the doc really stressed me out saying the contrary.

Some good news btw: I tried to gently pinch and roll it like you’ve said under hot water and it looks slightly better now. I’ll do it again tonight.

Just shot you a PM.

If I manage to get rid of this completely I’ll do a thread trying to explain the process so it can help ppl that get through the same.

If you usually don’t feel pain that’s good news. My swelling is a bit smaller than on pic 7.b. I suppose we don’t have the same thing, because my swelling is due to blood, not lymph. But I can suggest that your feeling of “glans going downwards” is due to the swelling which is I suppose on the dorsal side of your penis. For example, my swelling is on right side, and I had sometimes the feeling that my glans goes a bit more to the left. It’s an illusion. How old are you ?

I don’t feel pain, and the burns in the urethra I had at first are almost completely gone now. Yes you’re right about the glans, the swelling pulled it down thus giving the illusion it was deformed. That lasted for about two days, it looks normal now. I’m 27. I shot you a PM as well. How did you come to the conclusion that your swelling is due to blood?

Quick daily update btw: I did not notice much change at all this morning. Just got out a 40mn hot bath with the pinch/roll technique and it did seem a bit smaller after, but I’m not sure if it has really thinned or if it’s an illusion.

I should mention I was overly excited about the pinch/roll technique after it worked for me that time. When it had swelled back up the very next day, the same technique had no effect, so don’t put too much stock into it. The other pressing style of massage has also worked to drain the fluid. So whatever works for you.

And even though it can feel hardened, I am confident that it is still fluid. Because there have been occasions when it was raised and swollen for an entire day, and then I’ve done massage and it immediately drains within less than a minute.

Currently I’ve been doing the massage with a fleshlight for about 30 to 60 minutes per day using plenty of water based lube. I tried some unconventional techniques to see if anything helped. Like stretching, wearing a compression device, using the fleshlight, and a few other things. And the fleshlight was the one thing that helped. I think it is a more gentle massage compared to doing it manually, which allows for a longer massage with less inflammation.

Although I haven’t tried it yet, I’m starting to think anti-inflammatories could actually help too, like some people said in the clogged lymph vessel thread. I had initial doubts about that. But if a valve in the vessel is inflamed, that could actually explain a lot of the problem. When the massages don’t work, they are likely to cause some inflammation in the area as well.

Mine has been down for 2.5 days now and I’m optimistic this could be the end of the current flare up. I would credit the fleshlight massages, but it’s hard to say for sure. This is an unpredictable condition. If any of you guys with the clogged lymph vessel try it, please report back.

Yes mine swelled back up the next day, and this morning aswell. At the moment I’m not really sure the cord as improved at all since the beginning, a tad maybe but nothing much really, it still protrudes a lot. Atleast I don’t think it’s a vein as I don’t feel pain and it does not pulse like a vein would I guess. It’s been a week already.

I wish I had a fleshlight to try this, this is interesting, I’ll stick with gentle massages for now. Might order one. Anti-inflammatories sound like a good addition too, will try to get my hands on some asap. The cord goes from the left to the right of my shaft, on the dorsal side, but it’s not only “left” or “right” like you describe yours. There’s also a pretty big lump on the right side. I’ll hop in the hot bath now for 30-40 minutes, then I’ll do some cycling (not sure if a good idea to be honest, I did some yesterday already.)

Hi BeardedDragon, I’d like to send you a PM but yours must be turned off. Can you send me one or let me send you one?

Found this about sclerosing lymphangitis, interesting: https://hrcak.srce.hr/file/209699

Quick update now: It’s been 8 days since I have this thing. While it definitely looks smaller than day one, I am not sure whether the cord itself has really reduced in size, or if it is an illusion from the shaft deflating. I still think it’s a little bit of both, which is encouraging.
This weekend I spent two afternoons cycling for about 30-35 kms each time, and noticed that the cord had reduced in size in the evening, but it grew back during the night. Today I took a hot bath but didn’t stay long as a vein was getting larger than usual and did not want to risk it. Then I did some regular core exercises, and included some jumping and “shaking of the tree” like this:

since I heard that trampoline benefits the lymphatic system (and don’t own one). That’s about it. I will stop with the daily updates for now as it does not seem to change much from a day to day basis, unless I observe something unusual. I will also try topical anti inflammatories tomorrow, and would like to try a compression wrap with tender tape and a silicon sleeve as well.

I have it disabled because once you’ve been around here a while, you can get a lot of messages, and I can’t make time to respond to all of them. I also like having all the posts public in case anybody else dealing with this problem in the future can benefit. If you need to contact me, post in my progress report thread and I will see it eventually even if I’m not active on the forum at the time.

If it is causing you mental anguish, just rest until it passes. Leave it alone a while. That’s generally good advice for any PE injury, and in this case it is known to work.

Mine is still doing well, no flare-ups since starting the fleshlight massages. Maybe it is helping, maybe just a coincidence. But that will be my first thing to try if and when it ever starts up again.

Yeah I’m quite anguished. But I’ll wait. Took some aspirin. Btw I’m not sure if applying topical AINS on your shaft is a good idea, as it’s near the glans which is a mucous membrane, it can react badly to it (because of propylene glycol).

Thanks man, will post on your thread someday maybe if it does not resolve. There is a lump that worries me a bit, it’s bigger than the cord (obviously) and entraps a lot of fluid. Looking at it I wonder if it will even deflate at all.

It will pass. I’m confident you have the right diagnosis, and this condition 100% resolves itself in time. I had the pooling of fluid at one end of the cord too. I figure it is like a reservoir, where a river is dammed up, the most fluid will accumulate right next to the dam, but it will still raise the river for miles upstream.

I’d also be going the oral route for AINS if I end up ever doing that. A few weeks of taking the maximum recommended dosage schedule per day, just like for a joint injury in sports.

Before 5.5" x 4.1" ///////// Now 7.4" x 4.9"

Thanks for the support man helps a lot. I mean I’m not sure what else it could be besides a thrombosed vein. I can get good boners with no pain while the cord stays at the same size. Yes I’m taking about 3g of aspirin per day .

Ok good news, cord is noticeably smaller now than day 1, it’s still there and will take time to heal, 3+ weeks atleast I would guess, but this morning it’s the first time I can clearly say it has visibly shrunk in size. Great!

(Lump is still pretty big)

Over the past 2 weeks I just abstained from all sex and PE, just to let things calm down. I had tried masturbating a couple times with some discomfort weeks ago .
So I just did some hot water massages and I took some internal steroids my Dr. Gave me. Now 2 weeks later I see no sign of the raised vein or any discomfort.
I haven’t had sex yet but with an erection I seem good to go. I did snap some pics for progress and I feel mine was classic Mordor’s disease.
