Morning everyone I just wanted to let you all know of my typo, in reference to the hard like lump I called it Mordo’s disease. It is actually Mondor’s disease.
I sincerely hope this didn’t confuse anybody.
And thanks 32quarters for bringing this to my attention.

Hello friends, happy to read you both recovered! Quick update as I’m 16 days in since the injury: the cord is still there, still visible, but it has decreased significantly. The lump at the right side on the shaft is still there, probably smaller in size too, but still big. As I said I don’t expect to fully recover until atleast 3 weeks. I think that’s a decent target. I still take aspirin, some hot baths but not everyday. Still do lymphatic exercises.

My cord was pretty big at the beginning, quite huge honestly, it was like a crest about as big if not slightly bigger than the corona of the glans so I’m happy with the progress. Hopefully it will completely disappear.
Do you think it’s a good idea to have sex in a few days? I think it definitely isn’t as it would be an unnecessary risk and would likely lead to more inflammation so I will not do it but I want your honest opinion.

Have a nice day, cya

I think it heals in the same time either way. That said, I abstained the first few times I had it. It is the medical advice, and provides a baseline for how recovery feels.

Thank you for your insights, yes I agree, will abstain anyway.

By the way I feel some very subtle itch since a few days where the cord is. Also had 4-5 small red spots yesterday, think they are gone now. Weird. Not sure what this means.

Still have the itch / burn. Cord has not changed in size. Stressed out again as I’m getting closer to 3 weeks since the injury.

It’s the burning feel that worries me most. It’s subtle but it’s there. I don’t know what it is and how to interpret it. Also had red spots few days ago around the cord, gone now.

On top of this burn/tingle I also have some soreness in the shaft again. Same sensation that I described on post 10 of this thread from 2+ weeks ago. It’s hard to describe, I feel like there is a weak area inside that is still sore / desensitized. It’s weird as I only felt this at the beginning during one or two days.

Woke up from nap with a 70-80% boner. First boner in a while. Tried to stroke it to see how it felt: some slight pain/discomfort around the cord, especially on the side of the lump. Didn’t have that before. Still that feeling of soreness inside the shaft as well. I also have some discomfort in the groin / pelvic area since a few days. Could it be the lymph nodes that are tired from draining fluid? I feel like the whole area is sore. This will take time to heal.. I think I damaged it first when I overpumped 3 weeks ago, but asides from the edema and the bruise I did not have any symptoms, no pain or discomfort. They only kicked in a few days later when I pumped a second time for 5 minutes before vigorous sex.. The next morning. I feel bad about this whole situation.

The urethra burn / tingle can happen for many reasons, I wouldn’t worry about it unless it is happening constantly. The other feeling could simply be the sensation of having a lump between your skin and tunica. It feels weird.

It’s good that you saw the urologist, that should give you peace of mind.

If a similar injury happened on your hand, some swelling and inflammation for example, after overdoing some activity. Or a damaged blood vessel with bruise. You would not think twice about it, being confident that it would heal on its own in time. It is not a perfect analogy, the point is though, worry changes nothing. All there is to do is wait and trust the body.

Yes I agree with your second part. Worry doesn’t help, but it’s a hard part to deal with, especially since it’s the first time I injure myself so badly down there. It’s quite scary, and depressing. Writing helps to deal with it and soothe the mind. Really helpful and it might help future readers too so I find some peace doing that. And I appreciate your answers they definitely help a lot.
The doc did not help much tbh, he even said the cord would never leave. But even thrombosed veins tend to heal and disappear too, right?

For the tingles and even the soreness inside the shaft yes, it’s on and off. Could be part of the healing process.

It is therapeutic. I posted updates on mine 10 times :) . Just be wary of mysterious migrating symptoms around other parts of the penis or pelvis which could be normal sensations. The injury forum is full of guys who developed a mental complex over some simple injury.

“Mysterious migrating symptoms”, well this is exactly what I’m experiencing right now. Still have the tingling today albeit less then yesterday. Will see how it develops in the next days anyways. But pelvic area feels sore, giving me the impression that lymph nodes are having a hard time. Or is it the pelvic muscle? Can’t be sure. Penis still sore too, like I’ve lost some feeling down there. I’ll just wait a bit more, there’s not much else I can do. Cord definitely smaller than the first few days but still there.

At risk of beating a dead horse, I was saying the mysterious migrating symptoms are an illusion. Over the years I’ve seen dozens if not hundreds of threads where a guy, usually a newbie, gets an injury. It lingers for a while, then they start to develop this same list of symptoms you’re experiencing.

What I’m trying to say is that your dick is strong. It has a lymphocele, which will heal. But these other things are likely normal sensations that you are now noticing since your sensory perception of the area is heightened due to monitoring the injury. They happen all the time, but you are now paying more attention. Usually your subconscious filters them out as unimportant information. Be careful not to mentally mix benign sensations in with the injury.

Yes, that’s what I figured but thanks for clearing that up. While I still think there may be some soreness in the area due to the healing process, I agree on the subconscious filters and heightened perception and am definitely certain that I am aggravating the problem by thinking about it. After relaxing a bit yesterday evening and meeting friends I can say that I did feel better. Time will heal anyways, I’m confident about it. Even if it might take longer than I initially thought.
