hard veiny/lymphy thing

I’ve read tons of stuff on the site about thrombosed veins and lymph vessels, and I’m still not sure what to think. Here’s my situation:

Years before I ever started PE, I would occasionally notice a hard, squiggly “vein” on the left side of my shaft. I think it usually started under the glans and went down the shaft an inch or so. I usually associated it with a stronger erection, and it caused no pain. In fact, I was glad to have it, thinking of it as “ribbed, for her pleasure”.

Fast forward a few years to my third day of PE. After finally getting the hang of jelqing (newbie routine), the thing reappears, only this time I’m not too happy to have it, as I’ve read posts about thrombosed veins. Reading some more, I decide to massage it, and voila, 2 minutes later it disappears. Cool! But the next day, as soon as I start jelqing, it comes back. Again, after a little massage, it goes away. I take a day off, then start again. It comes back, I massage it, blah blah blah…

And so I’ve spent the last few weeks doing my PE (newbie routine/pumping 101) and massaging the bastard away when I’m done. Now that all my PEing has made my erections better, more often than not, just getting a hard-on brings it back. For most of the time I’ve had it, it hasn’t been the least bit painful, but now it’s getting a little sore. I suspect the soreness is from the massaging/squeezing I do to get rid of it.

My thoughts/questions:

1. I don’t think it’s a thrombosed vein, but some kind of lymph vessel blockage. Is there a way to tell for sure? Is one less of a problem than the other?

2. Because this also happened in my pre-PE days, I don’t think rest will fix it. I think I have some kind of inherent weakness there that will always respond this way to PE. That being the case, I think I am just going to push on with PE. In and of itself, a hard, squiggly vein-like thing is not that big of a deal. If something is to go wrong, what would the next warning sign be?

3. As I stated earlier, I think the soreness is from my massaging and squeezing it. Do you think it’s better to make it go away when I get it, or should I leave it be?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Xorgfoo,

I don’t have too much advice to offer you, but I also get the same thing and I’m sure it’s not a vein. I tried taking day/weeks off and taking asprin and ibuprofen but as soon as I start my PE routine up it springs. I’ve now decided to just push on or it’s gonna take me even longer than it already has to make some good girth gains.

If it gives you and pain though go get it checked out.

I have always been fairly strong when watching nasty shit i.e. rotten.com and stuff like that. But massaging a squidgy vein is enough to make me throw up. I hate veins, they make me cringe - anyone else like this? lol

I agree with ForMeAndMyWife. Watch out for pain and inflammation. Without those, said my urologist, there’s not much to worry about.

Hmmm….You’ve explained what I am dealing with word for word Xorgfoo. I thought for sure it was a thrombosed. Now I am not so sure. So thrombosed veins are painful? To the touch or just left alone?

I’ve decided to not massage the next one out. I want to see how long it lasts, and if abstaining from massaging will get rid of the slight soreness.

Well I decided not to massage the next one out, and I think that decision has been a good one.

On the evening of 7/13/05 I performed my PE routine as usual. The squiggly thing showed up, and it was sore. I left it alone and went to bed. The next morning (7/14) it was still there, though smaller than the night before. There was also a soft, but pronounced bulge there above the squiggly thing (partial donut effect). Throughout the day, the squiggly thing and bulge would mostly go away and then come back. I did no PE, but masterbated and had sex. Both masterbation and sex temporarily exacerbated the problem. By the end of the day, it was getting less sore.

The morning of 7/15 the squiggly thing and bulge were still there, but way less sore than the day before. By late afternoon I decided it was okay to do my PE routine. PE increased the size of squiggly/bulge, but did not make it sore. By late evening on 7/15, the bulge and most of the squiggly thing had gone away. There was no soreness at all.

So the lesson I’m taking away from all of this is: don’t massage it, just leave it alone. With no PE/Sex/Masterbation, it would probably go away in 24 hours. In my case, I don’t think total healing is necessary before doing PE.

Now remember, I don’t think this is a thrombosed vein, I think it’s some kind of lymph channel blockage, maybe a lymphocele. If you have a thrombosed vein you definitely need to take a break.

From my understanding, thrombosis is hard and usually painful. Yours does not sound that way.

Also, I doubt its a blockage, as PE actually promotes greater circulation; also, I didn’t read that you were doing any type of clamping or extreme ulis.

I suspect its just an enlarged vessel or what not - especially since you had it in your pre-PE days. PE made my unit more vascular, and some of those veins appear to have also enlarged. I don’t worry about it. Also, keep in mind that that vasculature of the penis does not identically mirror itself on each side.

I think this is what I have. IT is squiggly, and I cant really find a “bulge” that is blocking anytihng. I dont think there is any pain but it is mildly discomforting after a PE workout. I wish I had been paying more attention because I am not sure if I had this before or not.

Just do daily warm wraps and maybe lay off the PE for a while. It wouldn’t hurt to try Erosets Vein Oil (EVO) to see if it helps to clear things up.

I guess I should update this. Way back when, I decided not to massage it out, and it stayed. And then it was a little sore. I decided to take about a one month break from PE (still on it), and it still hasn’t disappeared. It doesn’t hurt though. Whatever it is, it’s annoying, but I think I will take up PE again soon. If it gets any worse, I may give up on PE, as I’m pretty conservative and I still have the problem.

Xorgfoo,

Have the same problem and really thought like you did in the beginning the it would give the ribbed effect. I am pretty sure that it is a lymph problem/blockage. I can feel “bumps” when I follow the vessel all the way down my shaft and into and under the fat pad. Have been trying several things to help with it and a break with EVO seems to be helping. I am going to give it a month or so off and see where it goes. I think that a combination of clamping and pumping caused mine. Will keep you posted on how things are turning out. Any activity seems to aggrivate it. No pain, just swellling. My dick swells on the left side also sort of giving it a left turn when flaccid. Good luck to your recovery.

Xorgfoo,

70f9 posted this and I thought you might want to read it.

Andro I have something that is exactly as you described. I started a thread on it titled ‘Bulge on side of penis after ulis’ (or something like that. But now that post seems to have disappeared.

Like you I would get a fluid build up no matter what I tried. It got to the stage that even jerking off would cause a fluid build up. I took six weeks off (no PE at all). Just Today (friday 5th aug) I have returned to PEing. I did 250 jelgs this morning and 150 at night. So far it has not swelled up. However there seems to be a vein that is more prominent after jelqing, but this goes down after about 20-30 mins.

I found that massaging my penis with baby oil (fully erect) for aboout 20 mins every other day helped to clear up the swelling. But I only started the massageing after about two weeks of stopping PE, by this time the fluid build up had well and truely subsided.

My advice would be to leave off any PE for 6-8 weeks. After the fluid build up is completly gone (after about 2 weeks) try massaging with oil. But no PE.

The fluid build up is caused by a blockage of the lymph vessel, the major cause of this is strangulation of the penis. In other words we have applied too much pressure while jelqing or doing uli’s.

Hope this info helps. Best of luck.

Something else I found online. Maybe not all of it pertains to we that suffer this, but some of the massage stuff seems to.

Lymphatic Drainage

Congested lymphatics are not only uncomfortable but precede or accompany many serious illnesses. The lymph fluid carries lymphocytes (T-cells & B-cells of the immune system) which collect trash from the body to the lymph nodes. The lymph nodes are like filters that can get clogged with debris creating a stagnation in the lymphatic flow. As trash accumulates the nodes swell. If infection is present the immune system goes to work raising the local temperature (called inflammation) to inhibit the multiplication of bacteria and increase the mobility of the lymphocytes. Herbs that stimulate the immune system and clean the blood aid the body in normalizing the situation and reducing the size of the lymph nodes. (see immune system on this website)

Usually the cause is faulty digestion and/or stubborn, toxic bowels. (see intestinal system) These blood purifying herbs are also in the anti-cancer category. Long term toxicity and lymph congestion is a precursor to some cancers.

To help move the stagnant lymph a very gentle pressure is used - about the pressure you would use on an eyelid or the pressure needed to smooth the hair on the forearm. Oil is sometimes used to reduce friction but it isn’t necessary if light pressure is used. This massage can be done in the shower where the soap provides lubrication.

The stroking begins at the drainage site (see diagrams). With a ‘leap frog’ action by the hands or fingers, use short light strokes toward the drainage site. For example, on the neck, place one thumb (index finger works best if you are doing this on yourself) above the clavicle or collarbone (see neck drainage). Draw it down with light pressure to the clavicle. As you do this place the other thumb (or index finger) above it and repeat the process. Do this several times at the drainage site (labeled ‘begin here’). Continue to place thumb above thumb drawing the whole way down each time until you have moved up to the base of the skull behind the ear. The skin is always stroked in the direction of the arrows. The procedure is like one step forward (the stroke of the thumb) and two steps back (the placement of the next thumb further from the drainage site). The same procedure is followed for the arm or leg. This treatment is alternated from side to side and may be done several times a day. Each treatment may last from a few minutes to 15 minutes.

Exercise caution with the elderly or those with hardening of the arteries. These cases are best left to those with formal training. Also avoid areas containing varicose or prominent veins.

Other factors influencing the lymphatics include deep breathing and exercising. Deep diaphragmatic breathing increases the rate of toxic elimination in the lymphatics by as much as 15 times the normal rate. During muscular exercise the muscles pump the lymph so that regular exercise also prevents stagnation.

Interesting read Longman, got a link? Would like to see their diagrams and such.

Interesting. I wonder if you guys having lymph trouble would benefit from a nice healthy boost to your intestinal fauna. Maybe spend a good week really limiting your intake of alcohol, sugar and processed foods, all that really candida-feeding stuff, then really ramping up some live-culture Acidophilus supps.
