Injury?

Injury?

Gentlemen,

I have been PE’ing, doing the newbie routine, with solid regularity and reasonable escalation, for about 4 months. Once in awhile I have experienced something which has caused me some concern. While jelqing, only on rare occasions (once a month if that often), I have noticed bleeding. Specifically, blood exiting my urethra. It is usually only enough to get my finger tip a shade of red (barely a drop or so) but, again, enough to cause concern.

This happened again recently and I noticed it while jelqing. In the middle of my routine, while kegeling to get to about 80% solid before a stroke, I felt a bit more stress than I normally did and it resulted in the discharge of some blood. Anytime this has ever happened, I have never felt pain or any consistent indicators that would say STOP THIS NOW (short of my penis bleeding of course). At first, I stopped my routines immediately when this would happen. Eventually I realized it simply happened sometimes and I could even continue and finish my workouts without pain or further bleeding.

Simply put, has anyone ever experienced this? What is it? Obviously I don’t want to be bloody during a workout but it seems to have no effect. I am able to finish my routine, my EQ is good, and there has never been any pain. Gentlemen, your thoughts?

It is something we read about occasionally here. Usually it is the result of minor damage to the urethra, caused by jelqing too hard. The urethra runs through the Corpus Spongiosum, along the bottom side of your penis, so avoid excessive pressure there, and try to concentrate it more on the sides of your penis. If there is damage, the blood will come out when you kegel, - it’s the same as the way you would push out the last drops of pee.
It is worth letting it heal fully before starting jelqing again. Repeated injury causes a ‘weak spot’. So let it heal, and modify your jelqing technique to avoid it.

Simple enough. Keeping decent records of my PE led me to believe it was an overpressure (80%) or higher during jelqing. Rest, too, is simple enough. Hate to break up the routine, though, a healthy small penis usually beats a broken penis.

I noticed Hubbard had posted something about the two finger (pinch) jelq but the link was dead/removed. Do you happen to have any information on this technique? It reads as less pressure while still yielding positive results. This may be what I should try to do in the future…

-Firegoat, thank you for the quick response.

I imagine using the search carefully will yield info on the pinch jelq - I tried it a few times and it really didn’t feel like it was doing much for me. Since I’ve never had any problems with a normal OK grip, I did not pursue it. I think marinera may have had things to say about it in the past?

Addressed like a true vet. Accepted like a true newb. I appreciate the input.

Anyone else, if you have experience with this issue, I will continue checking this thread. Thank you again.

You’re welcome, and if anyone has had experience of this, I hope they’ll chip in.

UPDATE:

Having just experienced another small bleed, I believe the problem lies in my stretching and not the jelqing. During my workout this evening, I did five minutes of hot wrap and then was on the first minute of my manual stretches (basic downward tug) and at about the 45 second mark I felt wetness on my fingers. I was bleeding out of my urethra, again. As with last time there was no indication: no pain, no difficulty stretching, no sounds (pops or tears) or anything. After pausing for a bit, I did another five minutes of hot wrap, finished my stretching, and then continued and finished the workout (10 min light jelq so as not to push myself and five min hot wrap).

I noticed some blood came out during my jelqing but I suspect this was just left over in my urethra from minutes before. I believe this is the reason I experienced bleeding during jelqing as described in my original post as well and believe the excessive stress is due to stretching and not jelqing. Given that I only do a few short (30 sec) downward stretches (4 oclock, 6 oclock, 8 oclock, repeat) for only five minutes, I am not sure how this little stress could cause bleeding.

As always, I post to make record and submit to the group for advice/argument/stories. Thanks, all.

PS: Just threw on some naughty flicks to see what would happen: no impact to EQ, all systems green.

If the bleeding is coming from a scratch around the glans (check it) than it is the stretching. Otherwise it is the jelqing. As Figo said, you have to use less pressure and change the grip. The correct grip is explained here
Dry jelqing - WOW.

which refers to dry jelqs but still applies to wet jelqs.

Thank you for the quick replay, Marinera! As for the dry jelqing technique, that is almost what I do now. Though I utilize a water based moisturizer for jelqing, the skin moves with my hand as I jelq towards the glans, eventually “piling up” so to say at the end of the jelq. I find I average a 4-5 second stroke even with the lotion.

I have adjusted to more of a pinch technique while jelqing, to include a more overhand (pinky-finger pointed away from body). I have no broken skin on my penis and all blood has been discharged from my urethra. I certainly don’t want to argue, particularly not with and individual of your experience, but I think the bleeding was caused by jelqing and something else. My evidence being what I attempted to describe earlier; bleeding after a hotwrap and only mere seconds of a basic stretch.

One thing I have no mentioned is I use an extender. However, I have never noticed any excessive stress while using it, I have eased into using it, have only added length to it after several hundred hours, and have never experience bleeding during or after using it.

Again, please keep the help and advice coming. Thank you again Marinera!
