Supplements for Treating an Injury
Note that I’m talking about treating, not curing. I did a ton of experimenting with various supplements in the first few years after my injury from jelqing, so I figured I’d share some of my experience and encourage other people to share as well. Hopefully we can help people cut down on the amount of time and money spent trying out a bunch of different things.
These are few that stood out as especially effective without causing me any deal breaking side effects. If you have a medical condition or take any medications, you may want to do some research, or start with a smaller amount.
Muira Puama- Very powerful aphrodisiac and helpful with erections. Increases erotic thoughts. If you have an injury that has completely shut down your libido I can’t promise that the aphrodisiac effects will be as strong, but it’s still worth a shot. Also a stimulant. If you really need a boost, this is the first herb I’d look at.
Cordyceps- Gave a nice boost to the libido and helped somewhat with erections, but not as strong as muira puama. Still better than a lot of other herbs that I tried, and not too intense of a stimulant if you are looking for something a little more gentle for longer term use.
Eleuthero- Also known as Siberian ginseng. Helped somewhat with libido and erections, in addition to increasing energy, mental clarity, physical endurance, etc. without being overly stimulating. Also very inexpensive. Overall I liked the feel of this herb better than cordyceps.
Guarana- A fairly powerful stimulant and energizer. Contains a high amount of caffeine. I found this herb to be a strong aphrodisiac and helpful with erections.
Schisandra- Very gentle and healthful berry suitable for long term use. A bit of an aphrodisiac. Good if you are looking for something mild and beneficial for overall health.
If anyone is dealing with a longer term injury, having side effects or problems with other things they’ve tried and looking for something to provide some benefit right now, give one or two of these a shot and feel free to share your experience. The more gentle herbs like eleuthero or schisandra may need to be taken for a little while for the results to kick in.
Anyone else that has any experience with a supplement, positive or negative, is also encouraged to share.
