Ok so here is what I got out of this conversation.

You are unhappy, because you want more sex in your life, and she smokes weed, and smokes tobacco, which in turns affects her Libido. I personally couldn’t fuck an ash tray but more power to you. But these sound like relationship compatibility issues.

You feel right now sex is more important than love because it’s lacking in your life. You like anal, and she doesn’t. You try to get her into her interests, but it hasn’t been successful. Both of these are on relationship compatibility issues

You can’t leave her because she depends on you and you hope to fix her. But she suffers from an addictive personality so you think if you get her addicted to working out everything will fix itself. Such as the libido, her mood and negative addictions.

You also mentioned how you love her but you also mentioned having no problem leaving. And the reason you stay is because of stability and you can’t leave because she depends on you and if you leave she will collapse. This comes off contradicting and unhealthy reasons to stay.

Sounds like white knight( you trying to fix her to be the perfect girlfriend) relationship and complete mismatch relationship . No wonder why you are unhappy and tempted to stray.

IMO, you need to get out sooner rather than later. I lived with and proposed to a heroin addict. Great sex, but ultimately drugs were important than anything in her life.

Believe me, I know there’s big difference between weed and heroin. But I’m a firm believer that you can’t change someone who doesn’t want to change themselves. So you can try forever, but deep down if she doesn’t want to change, she won’t.

And five years from now you will still be trying, & if she still thinks she needs weed, you will be in the same boat you are today. Wasting 5 years of true happiness. I know it’s hard because you love her, but life is short and everybody deserves to be truly happy and satisfied, in all ways.

I say all that, but my soon to be wife doesn’t give it up near as much as I would like. But we are so compatible and when we do have sex, it is great!(about once a week) No drugs involved, we both know who we are and our shortcomings and are happily in love.

Same with my wife, when she gets high she has bonkers orgasms, plateaus broken and surpassed, hell Everest has been climbed numerous times by her and I think its like a walk down the street for her! We learned that secret years ago. It’s amazing when she starts having rolling orgasm. They tend to happen so fast.

This has been quite the roller coaster of a thread. A combination of depression, body insecurity and routine have killed my wife’s libido.
