While I am an advocate of the paleo/primal diet personally, I don’t think that anyone should believe what anyone else says in an internet forum (e.g. A post whose only statement is “oats improve EQ” without any kind of citation or indication of what evidence this claim is based upon). To me, the definitive discussion of the harm of processed carbohydrates is “Good Calories, Bad Calories” by Gary Taubes. It is a 700-page research collation by a science journalist. As such, it is both erudite and clear.

The additional restrictions added by the paleo/primal diet are based on additional research into gut health—basically, looking at the types of foods that cause irritation and damage to our stomachs and digestion. After reading the research and investigating the academic articles the paleo advocates were referencing (I have a subscription through my university to most academic databases), I was convinced enough to try it, and I can attest to it’s effectiveness in improving energy levels, speeding muscle recovery, improving digestion, and accelerating fat loss. I’ve been using it as a dietary guide since May of 2010.

When I do decide to indulge in some milk, or a cinnamon bun, or pancakes (as I did yesterday), within about 20 minutes I am reminded of the damaging consequences of these foods. The diarrhea and stomach cramps typically last about a day. It’s usually enough of a reminder to keep me straight for another month or so.

While the OP offered no evidence that diet can influence PE results, it seems plausible to me as an explanation for the wide disparity in success rates among members—at least as plausible as genetics.

I understand why some members correlate post count with authority, though that line of thinking on an internet forum is immature and quite primitive; I didn’t expect childish ad hominem attacks. It’s the kind of thinking that keeps you hanging/jelqing all day, every day without gains.

It’s hard to believe just how much our internal biochem affects what we do since it’s hard to gain awareness of how intracellular functions are behaving, the only tools we have of doing so is our “mood” or “feelings” - unless we’ve had our blood analysed and witnessed the cells functioning, it can be difficult to grasp.

My conclusions aren’t far-fetched, no more than the premise of hanging weights from your penis in order to extend it’s* length, it’s actually a forgone conclusion. The only question however, is to what degree internal biochem affects results - which I believe to be about 80%. That’s what I’ll be experimenting with once my ADS/Hanger arrives.

The hard science behind my recommendations can easily be googled, search for “Paleo” and follow the link I posted in my first post.

*The forum settings keep auto-editing the possessive pronoun “it_s” to the contraction “it’s”.

Paleo diet is a well-marketed fad diet, not the worst fad diet but still a fad diet. It’s got some positives to it but the “historical” premise for it and the “disease prevention” stuff is just speculative rubbish.

Try out the methods outlined in the book and gauge results - like me, and others have already done.
