An Idea
I had a thought and wanted to pass it along to find out if anybody has given it a try and if so, did it work.
I was thinking about how the tissues we typically talk about trying to increase in size are essentially avascular; they don’t receive nutrition or waste elimination via a direct blood flow. I wondered if the artificial pressure gradient created from pumping and/or jelqing could increase capillary permeability in adjacent vascular tissues, thereby bringing a greater availability of nutrients into the interstitial space [area between cells] and, in the case of the tunica albuginea and other fascia, connective tissue matrix. If so, would this provide greater available resources for growth of these structures.
What it made me wonder is whether it would be beneficial to first pump [or jelq if that’s your thing] and then do stretching exercises afterward. So stretching would be done when there are fresh nutrients available during the time when the avascular tissues are subjected to the mechanical stress that we suppose stimulates growth.
TL;DR
Would you get better gains by pumping before stretching vs doing those activities independently or in the opposite order?
