I have hit a bit of a plateau and need to get some advice on breaking through. Since longer hanging sessions are bad for circulation, I’m assuming it’s time to add weight. I would like some experience before I do this though.

I currently hang 3x20 minutes at 5lb. 4-5 times per week. All hanging is done with a heating pad wrapped around my penis and I take 10-15 minute breaks between sets.

Plateau breaking advice is what I’m searching for, gentlemen.

Using the same hangar position every time or most times?

When did you last increase weight?
When did you increase set time and how often?
What weight did you start at?
How many weeks have you been hanging?

Plateau breaking, in my experience, is settled by a long decon (longer the longer you’ve been plateaued) and coming back with a totally different routine.

If you plan on trying to break it with your hangar it’ll probably be tricky.

Like working out, change what you do dramatically. I pumped for a year and a half and stalled. I started phallosan and got a quarter inch then stalled. I clamped and gained 5/16 girth in 3 months! Now that has stalled so I’m cementing with clamps and jelqs but broke out the phallosan for another 300 hours. A little girth gain goes a long way for a sort of decon break, it increases volume a ton and it will give you such a motivational boost you won’t believe it.

This is good advice. I’d also say that gains slow down. A newbie might gain a half an inch in 6 months, while an experienced PE guy would be happy with 1/4” in a year. So a plateau to one person might be normal to another.

I do use the same position every time. Sitting upright on edge of chair, hanging straight down over the front edge. I’ve been at 5lbs for 3 months. I started at 2.5lbs. I actually decreased set time to 20 because of circulation loss/pain a couple months ago. I’ve been hanging for 20 weeks.

The same position is your problem. A common issue is diminished and dead returns from the same position over 4 hours consecutively. Detailed here in Hanging 101

It has a significant danger of toughening your ligaments and penis overall. You simply have to change up your position and stress patterns or you’ll freeze hanging gains.

30 - 45min. I was trying to just do one or two super long sets so I wouldn’t have to put hanger on and off, just lazy. Learned my lesson though, 20 is my firm limit now.

I hung over each hip today for 20 mins each. This was added to 2 sets of straight down. Thanks for the advice. Now I have to research other angles and how to do them.
