Does anyone else think 5.5 girth is pretty damn big

I just recently climbed to the point where I am measuring around 5.5 girth, (more like 5 3/16 midshaft, but midshaft is easily the smallest place to measure), , and I think that is pretty big. After gaining over 1/2 inch of girth I feel like I have a whole new dick, and I can’t imagine what it would be like to gain an inch or inch and half there! Please those inbetween 5 1/4 and 5 3/4 share your experiences, are the ladies impressed!

My impression is that most women find a 5.5”-girth penis to be THICK. Congrats on your gains!

It’s also the absolute ideal size for most women for fitting wherever you wish to put it, and giving maximum pleasure without creating soreness etc.

Wanting more than 5.5” is just an ego thing, unless you have a wife who has a physical requirement for more.

Thanks for the congratulations. Girth is so tricky, and I am happy that I have been able to gain at all let alone more than 1/2 inch. On the other hand, I don’t think that it’s that much luck. I really believe anybody can gain a significant amount of girth, it’s just different for each person, best of luck to everyone who is working hard to meet their goals.

By the way I was thinking, Do you think most porn stars are around 5.5 girth? I notice that women have trouble getting their hand around a decent amount of porn stars dick, and anyone with 5.5 inch girth, or probably even 6 inches will know that a girl can put their hand around it easily.

My guess is that you would have to be at least 6.5 inches or more before ANY girl would not get their hand around. On the other hand, I think they might sort of trick the camera on that one too. Thoughts?

I think this is true and was going to say something similar. For many women, a 6” girth just results in quicker time-to-soreness and a longer “recovery” period afterward. So for being able to have great sex without constraints with a variety of women, a 5.5” girth is probably ideal. As firegoat said, if you end up with someone who you know can accommodate and enjoy more girth without soreness problems, then that’s a different story.

Still, I do enjoy the ego trip of having 6+” girth, even if it’s not ideal for some women :D

Yup, I’ve often noted in the “porn size” discussion threads that if you watch carefully, you’ll see that the women seem to have been instructed in exactly how to handle the dick to make it look maximally large on camera. You see these guys that from far away look like they might be 6 inches girth, and then some girl cannot get her hand around but can still get her mouth around it with relative ease for a blow job ( It seems that if you can’t get a hand around, you would have a ton of trouble getting the average female mouth around).

I’ve always been 5.5” in girth, and as a consequence I’ve always considered it ‘average’.

Well, I have a 6.61” girth and I’ve had several girls who couldn’t fit their hand around it (and commented about it). This usually involves a standard thumb-index finger OK grip. My ex could (barely) touch her thumb with her middle finger while wrapping it around my shaft. That is really weird, I would say in my honest and scientific opinion that for every 500 guys only one can likely take a legit measurement of 6.61 inches at any part of the shaft, and almost all of them have probably PE’d. As Leviathon mentioned, I don’t think 5.5 is huge, I just think it’s quite large. I really believe that a 5.5 inch mid shaft girth is at the very worst 1/20 guys. I mean even the Lifestyle’s study which recorded the highest girth measured by a doctor, with young self selected adults placed 5.5 in the 8th percentile. Many other studies have indicated that the average girth is probably more like 4.5-4.85 mid-shaft.

I know it sounds crazy, but I think what is crazier is the post above, if someone that has a legitimate 6.61 inch girth and does not know they are gigantic in girth (Assuming they have seen at least a few penises) than we as men probably lack the ability to put things into perspective, and perceive ourselves the way others, more particularly woman do.

Yes, the mouth is what gives it away! I’ve noticed exactly the same thing. I know from personal experience that very few women can give a decent blowjob to a penis that is 6+” girth, and it’s not like all these women in porn have enormous mouths. When you see a girl easily swallowing a cock in porn, you know it’s likely less than 6” girth, yet they act as if they can’t fit their hands around it. No woman has ever had trouble wrapping her hand around my 6-6.25” midshaft (although the close-to-7” base is a different story :) ).

I’ve been with some women for whom I am certain that a smaller girth (than my own) would have resulted in more frequent and more satisfying intercourse. PE until you’re 9x7” if that’s what you like, but realize that beyond a certain point, it certainly is not for the average woman’s pleasure.
