Hi friends,

I see many tutorials saying that you can increase ur erection lv when jelqing, and if you reach total erection you should stop and wait ur erection come back to something between 40%-80%.

But in my case, I masturbate to get close to the 80% erection level and start jelqing. I do ~5 jelqs and my erection level starts to decrease, so I have to stop, and masturbate to get 80% erection again to restart my jelq.. And I think that this fact is making my routine less effective that what it should be.. And I almost didn’t see gains too..

Anyone has passed or is passing this? Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

When I was a newbie, I did 50 jelqs. Stroked back up to correct erection level. Did 50 more jelqs. Rinse and repeat until done. I gained.

The theory is this. If you jelq at higher erection levels i.e. 80-90%, it is better for girth gains. If you jelq at lower erection levels i.e. 50-70% it is better for length gains.

As far as maintaining your desired erection level while you jelq, you can try looking at porn, or make sure your jelq hand pressure is such that it feels good while jelqing. You might be using too much force.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I typically stay lower (around 60%) but to maintain the erection, I kegel blood into my penis before I start the new stroke. It seems tedious at first, but it has helped me maintain a consistent erection level during jelqing.

If you watch porn you could consider stopping. Also decrease masturbation to regain a little sensitivity and feeling, rather than banking on fantasies. But as others mentioned, you may want to jelq at lower erection levels to have your penis get accustomed to it

The desired erection level should maintain itself by the actual jelqing strokes and not constant stimulation - simply because our penises are designed to enlarge and hold blood.

For instance, I stimulate with to 85-95 percent, then my stroke traps(not too tight though - like a clamp) and pushes blood up towards the head. At this point, my other hand is already starting the next stroke from the base. In this constant hand-over-hand manner, it becomes very easy - with some practice - to maintain the right erection (engorgement) level.

Sometimes my percentage goes too high or low, but rarely. Do not have any porn on, or think about sex; think only about your jelqing strokes.


Start: 15/07/12 EL: 6.0 (NPB) EG: 5.7/16ths (Midshaft). Next measuring: 15/10/12

Goal/Be Really Pleased With: EL: 7 1/2. EG: 6.0.

Don’t stress too much about your wood level. I really can attest to the fact that high erection levels are a girth exercise - I’ve been PE’ing two months and gained more girth than length even though I was going for length - and I feel that was because I was jelqing with too hard of an erection. Let your penis become softer if it happens.

I start at flaccid now and if I end up with a 50% erection, thats fine; I feel I’m targetting length more. I have a clock that I take with me when I jelq so I can time 3-5 second strokes and I do it for 15 mins or so EOD, and I find that way takes my mind off whether I’m too hard or too soft.

Dandyist, I noticed that you gained quite a bit in a short amount of time. Out of curiosity, do you attribute it to pure gains OR is it greatly improved EQ?

In all honestly, during my first month of PE my EQ went through the roof.. Like so hard it pulsed. The last couple weeks however, it has taken a drastic nosedive to the point where I took a week off and just resumed again Thursday. It may be psychological, it may be fatigue, I don’t know.

What makes me confident in my gains though is the fact that I took accurate measurements BEFORE I started P.E - and my measurements now are taken with less than a full erection. So I know the gains I have made are accurate, and not just good EQ (which I haven’t had in weeks). The girth gain has me worried that I’ll hinder my length gains in the future (though when I initially measured my girth it was with a string and ruler, now I use tailor’s tape, so there’s bound to be some error in measure).
