Do you all think it is very important to jelq in the direction of your natural erection? My erection points out and up at around 11 oclock or so, but I used to jelq straight out (around 9 or 8 oclock).
I recently switched to jelqing up towards my natural erection, and even a little big higher. My LOT is also very low, so now I am jelqing in the opposite direction of my LOT, which I assume is how it should be done? Thanks,

It does not matter, do not get caught up in minutiae. Squeeze and go.
It doesn’t matter what direction you jelq in, as long as you are moving the blood along your penis.
If you are doing lower erection level jelqs, down works well. With higher levels, straight out or up is fine.
It does take a long time to learn the optimum jelqing style for your penis. You will get the hang of jelqing quickly, but may spend months fine tuning how you do it.
