Erection loss after kegels

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I researched the forum for an answer but could not find any.

I have done some PE over the past 8 months, got some gains, then stopped, put on weight which seems to have me lose some gains, and now I am on a diet, and it seems I lost the whole gains. This seems to happen. So I wanted to go again for some PE, a couple of days ago, but I first read about erection quality because I had not paid attention to it before, and wanted to start focusing on improving EQ. I read sparkyx thread, and noted the remark: “I would suggest a very simple routine, far less than you had before. Something like 5 minutes of modest jelqing and 5 minutes of kegels every other day or less (kegels are VERY important).”

I did that 2 days ago, perhaps 5-10 minutes of modest jelqing, also the day after, and yesterday I had perhaps 10 minutes of kegels spread across 4 times of the day. Also 2 days ago I tried thinking about my erections, and in bed I tried to induce one and keep it as long as I could. It was not great but not so bad. I woke up to an erection. Then during the day after 5 minutes jelqing, mentioned above and some of the kegeling, I noticed that I did not have any erection. I tried touching myself in the bed at night and was unable to maintain an erection, it grew somewhat, I could feel the blood beats, but it seems the blood is not staying there.

The jelqing does not seem to be a problem because I have done it many times before, without problem. The kegels are the new part for me, though I have probably tried some years ago, but just a few minutes. This time I tried to focus on the various muscles contracting, I looked at the anatomy and tried to focus on the “dorsal” part as some writer was commenting, on the ischiocavernosus muscle. Although I also contracted the bulbospongiosus/bulbocavernosus and pubococcygeus muscles. When doing my kegels I tried to go hard enough, I tried different rhythms, like holding long contractions, and I never felt any discomfort.

Still now I feel now discomfort, but the erection just does not come hard, and subsides soon, I would say immediately. Any thoughts ? Should I worry very much ? It is the first time it happens to me, though I have not had very hard erections in a while, as I have not paid attention to it -to be transparent it is the prospect of resuming my sex life that got me to read about EQ here. So I am annoyed and somewhat worried. Thanks in advance.

I also read some of the deeppurple thread. As I said my problem does not seem to stem from jelqing. Or perhaps jelqing (it was mild) after having dome some kegels had a different, wrong effect. I obviously hope the issue is somewhere else. I will look at the physiology of erection, to see what could be wrong. Please share any of your thoughts or ask me things that could be relevant. Thank you.

Update. Ok so I tried again, watching porn, and I finally could have a good erection, for a reasonable amount of time -about 10 minutes. I am obviously relieved, to some extent. Now I am guessing that there was a psychological aspect to it. My body’s response does not feel normal yet, so I will monitor it. In any case, if you guys have had similar experiences, with kegels in particular, and if you have advice, ideas of things to try, please share. Thanks for bearing with me.
