You should feel the expansion in your glans.

Make sure you are jelqing correctly. Slow strokes, and make sure every one counts!

Carrying on from ‘pontiuspolet’s’ initial question - I also experience glans engorgement, but no real engorgement of the shaft.
I was curious to find out if this is normal?

When I jelq, my shaft goes almost white and becomes thinner, where I’m forcing the blood towards the glans. And coincidentally the end 2” (including glans) becomes engorged.
But having read about the process of gaining through jelqing; whereby the aim is to expand the blood capacity of the penis, to induce growth- I feel like I should be seeing engorgement along the shaft too?

I do think I move the jelqing into a bit of clamping with the erect jelqing however when I decrease the squeeze pressure I think it is still moving the tissue of the tunica and the blood. It feels and looks that way. Do you think that time of hand travel could ever be used to related to pressure? I mean because we vary in girth, length and structure it doesn’t sound like time can be more than an estimated goal.

In response to the post at hand. I don’t think you can squeeze your dick and not have glans expansion. The amount will vary due to the facts previously stated. We’re all unique. Mine has a lot of expansion when I jelq. A hard jelq to me is when you squeeze tightly and the part that’s in front of your grip expands a lot like rock hard. You travel slowly as the blood feeds back under your grip. When I get rough with my dick it is really expanded and I pull a good stretch with each jelq. I’m not gaining much so don’t try to duplicate it. That’s why I’ve moved down to lighter jelqing.

How long a jelq takes from start to finish is a combination of erection strength, grip force, penis length, elasticity of tunica that day (often depends on what other PE you’ve done or if you just warmed up etc.) and probably a whole bunch of other things I don’t have time to think about.

That’s why jelqing is a matter of feel, and why good descriptions of how to jelq have to talk about squeezing honey off a smooth stick or toothpaste out of a tube, rather than talking about a certain amount of force and a certain number of seconds.

It’s also why I’m never concerned about ‘do 150 jelqs’ or ‘do 500 jelqs’ - the numbers are not important; there is a huge difference between 150 well done jelqs and 500 crap ones. Jelqing is all about feel. You jelq at a certain speed and force to feel a certain type of expansion happening, and you jelq for a certain amount of time until you feel your penis has been properly worked. Some days that is far more or less than other days.

Newbies benefit from numbers when learning, but eventually when you have developed proper feel, all that can be thrown out. And it’s great fun developing that feel! :)

When I imagine that, I imagine squeezing your thumb and forefinger pretty close together while they’re on the sides of your penis. Is this correct?

Balancing presure between the sides give one effect. Trying to balance pressure all around gives another. Concentrating slightly more on one side when using one hand and the other side when using the other hand….. they all give different feels and effects.

It takes months, even years to really master jelqing fully. Just focus on feel every stroke you do and you will learn what feels ‘right’ and what doesn’t.

Here is another thing:

I notice that a large number of my strokes (even when I am trying to be ultra consistent in my technique with a power-jelq device) seem to “do nothing”.

When I do a kegel right before I do a jelq and then squeeze up the blood I just pumped in with the kegel, THEN I get a real tight feeling in the tip of my dick like it has too much blood in it and would explode if I used incorrect pressure.

Also, if I do a jelq right after I have feverishly beat my dick to arousal, and then squeeze, starting low on the base, THEN I get that real tight feeling at the tip of my dick as well.

If I do NEITHER of these two things, I get “nothing”, no sensation of engorged volume, no nearly painful tip of dick swelled with blood. No little dots on the tip of my dick that threaten to become red and stay but don’t.

I have also noticed that I don’t really get that “pressurized” sensation in my head unless I start very low on the base on the underside of my dick. Its like I have to start down by the balls, almost. In any event lower than what I would normally consider the functional part of my “shaft”.

So?
For guys with good gains,
Do you find that you are only happy with your jelqs if you are getting this above sensation?

Do you find you need to have an almost 100% erection to “feel” the jelq? Or otherwise do you feel that you MUST kegel to get it “right”?

Do you notice a difference when you do not start very low on your dick?

I just don’t want to be wasting my time.
I feel like I have a more-difficult dick than a less-difficult dick, and I’m trying to make the best of it.

I guess my primary question is:
WHEN YOU JELQ, DO YOU FEEL EXTRA PRESSURE AT THE TIP OF YOUR DICK, where you can tell for sure (based on the feeling) that extra blood has significantly entered the head of your dick?

Should I use this sensation as a guide for a good jelq, or not?

I do feel that extra pressure at the tip of my dick when I jelq at higher erection levels and personally aim for that, but I’m not sure of such a sensation is necessary for “correct” jelqing, because I don’t believe such a thing exists.

Watch your PIs and EQ while you go and you shouldn’t have trouble, especially if you see more girth/length over time.

As soon as I start the squeeze for a jelq I can see my glans expand and if I put the opposite hand over it I can feel the expansion. I have found that by lightening up the pressure of my grip I am able to do a lot more jelqing before my dick is tired and with the lighter pressure it leaves a great feeling instead of a tired dick. Last night I went over 1000 total jelqs for the day because I was kegeling & edging and it just kept feeling good. I finally quit when my wife got out of bed to go pee. When she came back we had a wonderful tumble and both climaxed and fell asleep. Today my dick feels great but I promised it I would give it the day off and try for 1000 tomorrow again. :) I like the philosophy of not beating your dick to death trying to gain. My EQ has been great and I’m getting my morning wood back.
