If you are using a fairly strong lamp, especially if it is heating a larger area, such as your lower abdominal area, be very careful.
Because the heat penetrates well, a large volume of tissue is heated up, and the body has to work hard to try to keep all the heated tissue at normal body temperature.
Also, the blood flowing through the area is heated as it passes through the large volume of heated tissue and continues to circulate, carrying the heat with it.
What basically happens is you can get the IR lamp equivalent of sun/heat stroke. If you start to feel a little bit nauseous or faint, turn the lamp off straight away. If it happens, expect to feel a bit ‘rough’ for a while afterwards!
Also I say below, your penis is not a very temperature sensitive organ - it’s nerves are better at sensations of friction than heat, so you can cook it if you are not careful. :eek2:
150w is about ideal, so you could just turn it down a bit if it’s on a rheostat. Your penis is not a particularly heat sensitive organ, but the back of your hands are heat sensitive, so if the heat is comfortable on the backs of your hands, it should not cook your penis. With a lamp it’s easy to move closer or further away throughout your routine anyway. The temptation is always to slightly over-do the heat, so bear that in mind and resist it.
Keep your testicles covered! IR penetrates well. White t shirt material or even white paper towels, folded, to reflect back some of the light work well. If you just pull your underpants down so they cover your testicles and then tuck the material into the waist band, that is an easy method.
I used to use a piece of white t shirt material (and have always recommended that), but now I just fold a couple of paper towels and stick them into the waistband of my undies, which I pull down so they are still covering my testicles.
The paper towels are very white and reflective; almost no heat penetrates, plus they reflect the light back at the underside of my penis. They are disposable, so don’t need washing. I tear bits off them for assisting grip while stretching, and I use them to clean up after wet jelqing.
So there you have it - the ultimate PE accessory is the paper towel!
