How Slow Do I Go When Getting Back Into PE After a 6 Month Break???

How Slow Do I Go When Getting Back Into PE After a 6 Month Break???

I have done PE off and on for about 2 years. I did the newbie routine for 6 months. I did some more advanced manual exercises for a year (ULI’s, squeezes), then I did hanging for 6 months. During those times I took breaks randomly, sometimes for months. When ramping back up again after a 6 month hiatus, how quickly can I ramp up to a more advanced girth routine (including clamping), compared to if I was just starting? Need to factor in that I haven’t done girth work in a long time since I was hanging most recently.

Short term goal: BPEL 6.5", MEG 4.75". Long term goal: BPEL 7", MEG 5".

I’m in the same boat as you, except I’ve had lots of experience with clamping in the past. I jumped right back into clamping a few days ago after about a 6 month or more break, feels great! 3 sets of 10 minutes with some jelqing and uli squeezes inbetween. 3 days on 2 days off.

Expansion is great and flacid is hanging nicely again.

That’s great! Don’t rush into a crazy routine too fast. Hurting yourself will set you back way farther than taking your time getting back to an intense routine. What gains have you had in the past?

This is probably the best advice. Granted there aren’t any specifics, I need to be well aware of PIs and look out for any signs of negative ones. And make sure the positive ones are still showing up.

But clamping is advanced and someone who can provide a more physiological breakdown of what happens to the penis after a break, and if it is still conditioned even after long breaks, would be helpful.

Thanks so far guys.

Great question…. but because you are asking such a good question, I kinda think you already know the correct answer.

Ideally, force yourself to go slow for a minimum of two weeks. This will prevent your unit going back into shock mode… or even worse, tough mode.

You are coming off a nice break that should allow you to benefit with some ‘Newbie’ type gains.
Don’t miss out on the freebies.

Good luck and let us know how the restart goes.

The question is how quickly can I get into clamping. Some people recommend at least 6 months of PE before clamping (sometimes more). If taking a 6 month break and before that break doing no girth work (only hanging), is like starting over then I should wait 6 months. If I do it after 1 month then it could be really dangerous. That’s why I’d like some opinions on whether or not the girth work I did from 2 years ago up until 1 year ago makes a big difference on how quickly I can get into clamping.

It is quite an important question. People with a deep understanding of the physiological build of the penis should be able to provide some insight.

Thanks to all who have contributed and who will contribute :)

Listen to your dick. Yours is as different as your fingerprint. The slow approach allows you to build confidence in the fact you’re doing a safe routine.

Slow the first few sessions for sure.

After that extended break, I would estimate half or less of your previous peak workload.

First week or two regain conditioning, keep force low to medium, then see what’s what.

Welcome back.

Don’t overthink it too much. There are no set hard fast rules once you get past the newbie phase.

Recondition for a bit, and when you feel confident enough begin to clamp. Only you know when you’re ready and this will probably vary a good bit from person to person.

Start with short clamp sets, no rules that they have to be 10 minutes long. Start with 2 minutes to practice your technique, after practice and building confidence move to 3,4,5 minutes etc. Try to be patient and consistent with your approach
