Or is it acceptable to measure from underneath the bump on the bone?
The most accurate method is flat to the pubic bone, not under it. Generally holding the ruler vertical, not flat, is the best way to achieve that method. Some people cannot hold it that way for a number of reasons, so then find a method which works for them. One member measures from the side due to some lig issues and he has acknowledged it isn’t the most accurate way to measure.
The key is consistency. Whichever method and tools you use, continue to do so. If you are constantly changing how you measure and using different rulers, you are introducing uncertainty into the process. Did I really gain 1/2” or is it due to using a different ruler or measuring differently?
I’ll interject here that this is the same rational for why we measure BPEL and not NBPEL so you have confidence that your gains are true gains and not from loss of fat pad.
We post pictures as a record for ourselves, not for proving to others, so whether someone is measuring under the pubic bone or not is not something to be concerned about. Yep I know that some guys post pics to brag, but that is a small group.
Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG
Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.
Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.
