I am still experimenting and learning, but it seem like pumping creates at least a little swelling in the skin. This swelling seems to make the jelqing work primarily on the skin rather than the blood reservoir beneath.

Is that what others have found?

In my opinion, it would be better to jelq prior to pumping. Just my take.

I am going to give that a try. I have tried the other way, and it doesn’t seem very effective.

Im my opinion; jelqing post pumping forces lymph fluid to collect a the point on your dick where your fingers cross over and almost gives it a lumpy look

What’s worked better for me is jelqing before as a warm up and stretch and massage/edge afterwards. The latter also helps remove excess fluid

Everyone needs to experiment, of course. I agree (and historic protocols have recommended) that a pre-pump jelq is the way to go. It makes sense in that the intent is to engorge the CC pre-pump. I, on the other hand, have mostly pumped (heated) in the morning, with short break(s) and relatively easy jelqs, just to bring myself more to full erection before going back into the pump. I do not do heavy grp pressure jelq in this time. I will often then to the same (lightly) post pump, an my preferred protocol is to then go into some form of traction asap, at least for any cool down period.

I jelq prior to pumping to warm up really good, get the chambers ready for serious blood, and to reduce irritations and issues like edema and red spots.

I warm up, of course, before anything I do, stretches, jelq, pumping.

I do like 300-500 jelqs prior to pumping. Then between my short sets (I warm up with 2-3minute long sets at low pressure for 10 minutes, then I do 10 minute long sets at 3-4hg) I jelq at least 100 reps. Every time I break between time in the cylinder, jelqing. I get so much fatter and my pumped dick gets quite big. It always was just common sense to jelq before pumping starts, jelq between sets, and jelq after for a warm down. Color gets back to normal, everything looks good, it feels really good too.

Thanks, that sounds reasonable. The puffiness definitely makes the jelqing difficult.
