Kegeling with resistance

Kegeling with resistance

I forget where, but I read one time a while ago that you can kegel by getting a hard on, hanging a small towel on it and lifting the towel up and down with your member by kegeling. I’m wondering if this would apply resistance to the PC muscles. I’d think that resistance would make kegeling more beneficial seeing as how you need resistance when exercising any other muscle (like lifting weights makes your arm muscles stronger and bigger). Your thoughts?

That is the oldest male erection strengthening exercise there is. A wet towel provides more resistance.

You can also pull gently on the penis (in an un erect state) and kegel against the resistance. However, the towel exercise just lets newbies know they are actually doing a kegel. Once you know what muscles you are contracting, you can do them independent of an erection, fast or slow, hard or gently etc.

You can do them anywhere. I like to do mine at ‘wasted’ times like when stuck at red traffic lights!

Until your body is used to contracting the correct muscles, something like the towel exercise can help, but once mastered, you can kegel just as effectively anywhere.

I already do them at work and stuff. I just figured that maybe with a towel or a hand holding it down like you suggested, there would be more resistance and more strength building. If not for that kind of thing you’re just flexing with no resistance. How big could your arm muscles possibly get if you just flex them all day? Or more importantly, how strong? (This is of course compared to if you lift weights)

There is a difference between size and strength, although there is an obvious correlation as well. Pure strength can actually be built fastest by isometric contraction, and as as no range of movement is necessary in the BC muscles (as opposed to skeletal muscle), isometric contraction works very efficiently.

It may well be that ‘flexing’ your erect penis against an immovable object, such as a hand (as opposed to a towel), may indeed be an efficient way of building pure strength, and may rival kegels against a gently applied longitudinal pull on a flaccid penis, but the effect on endurance may not be as good as a regular kegel.

My suggestion would be to try it, and report back in this thread as to your findings.

gr1ngo have you got any updates?

I know from my athletic career that increasing ones maximum strength will also increase strength endurance. In my opinion, we should be aiming to increase the max strength of the BC muscle, as this will carry through to stamina gains.
